Favourite ECM Titles
Most of the responses to this thread have centered on jazz releases but ECM has wonderful classical releases as well. I discovered a talented Russian composer on this label who up to now I never even heard of: Valentin Silvestrov. Check out Bagate...

SOTA Star Sapphire III - ball bearing & vacuum
The noise you experience in the begginning of the cycle is typical, at least from my experience. As far as the vacuum goes, I've never been particularly impressed with its efficacy. If you're thinking it will take the curse out of record warps for...
Rolling Stones Fans- I Need advice
The MFSL recording of Sticky Fingers is one of the best releases MFSL ever made. Just listen to Moonlight Mile and tell me you are not impressed. Its one of the earlier releases from MFSL so there is a good chance Stan Ricker did the cutting.
OT Congratulations NY Yankees
I'm a Red Sox fan but I'm also a baseball fan too and the Red Sox thru their payroll have become a version of 'Yankeelite' IMO. The Sox were always a big market team but there was enough disparity with their payroll (as compared to the yankees) wh...
What are your fav “Off Hollywood” films

Jeff Beck - Emotion & Commotion?
Gotta agree with Schubertmaniac. The release was lauded in one of the recent audiophile publications (5 stars no less). To tell you the truth, the release was so disappointing I can't even remember if the recording or sound quality were any better...

Atma Sphere deserves praise
Agree with Magfan. The level of personal service outlined in the above posts is certainly important but equally important IMO are mfrs that offer upgrades to existing equipment for cost of the work plus a modest fee (the key word being modest. Som...
Best preamp for $1000 or less with remote
Conrad Johnson PFR. Past Stereophile class a component and with good reason.
Windham Hill an audiophile label?
Yes, these recordings in my opinion are "Audiophile" quality (and I have quite a few). The musical content is another matter, however. The last time I listened to any WIndham Hill release had to be at least 20 years ago.
MFSL Gold Little Feat
As someone mentioned above, the MSFL LP version of Waiting for Columbus is tremendous. I would heartedly recommend spending time here or on EBay to try and track down a copy.
