Opinion of Klipsch speakers
I have the RF-25s in my 3rd system and I have matched them with some very good tube electronics. In their price range they are very good. Much better than you might expect. Good on voices and instruments, have good bass and they are enjoyable to l...
Have you been Shpongleized?
I am now! It's kind of Mannheim Steamroller meets Tangerine Dream meets some Eastern trace music. I'm not sure I'm a fan yet but it's worth a listen. I'm only on my first trip through.Thanx, Russ
Speaker Damage/Amp Power/Volume
This is pretty simple, you are playing too loud. 250 watts sounds like a lot of power but it's not, it's only 3db more than 125 watts. An in-wall speaker is limited by it's design, it's not meant to rock the house down. There is a reason that ther...
Why did I get married?
This is not looking good..........
Name your lame duck artist........
Kenny G. is a popular guy to knock just like like Barry Manilow but his album "Classics in the Key of G" is an excellent album, audiophile quality and very well done. I don't have a comment on any of his other stuff but this one is really worth a ...
Taylor Swift
Yes, "Fearless" was the album I was refering to.Thanx, Russ
Klipsch Vs axiom
Bill has it right.Thanx, Russ
Magnepan & Manley
Which Maggies? Maggies and tubes can be a special setup but a lot will depend on your listening taste and volume you play. The 250s are pretty stout but a Maggie can suck up 250 watts without even trying. I'd need to know more about the system.Tha...
Do you have tin ears?
You don't have to have perfect hearing to tell the difference between real sounds and what you are hearing from your hi-fi. Just saying.Thanx, Russ
Magnepan MMG or Vandersteen 1C
I got mmgs to work but I'm 5 feet out from the wall. At 3 feet the image is OK but it didn't fully bloom until 5 feet out.Thanx, Russ
Magnepan for a small room
I have such a set-up but it only works because the Maggies are 5 feet out in the room, yes that's right 5 feet out in a 10 foot room. They really don't work stuck in the corners.Thanx, Russ
Maggies a waste if only 3' from backwall?
Listen, owning Maggies requires that the user adapt to the speakers requirements not the other way around. If you can't get them out in the room then you are wasting what they have to offer. I've put big speakers in small rooms but it just doesn't...
Do you have tin ears?
I would have saved a lot of money. I don't have "golden ears" but I can hear the differences in cables.Thanx, Russ
Best speakers for about $2000 a pair
If you have the amps to drive them Maggies are hard to beat if you like the sound of panels (I do). You'll also need the room, they NEED to be at least 5 feet out in the room and 10 feet is better. Thanx, Russ
