Low Frequency Equalizer Unit for Infinity RS-2b (IIB) speakers
"...The original woofers are used in an integral servo-feedback system. Are the replacements?..."According to MagicMarksy, the RS-2B does not use servo feed back. The series V does have servo feedback. The control box is a crossover and equalizer.
Best tube amp and setup for me?
You will want to run a tube integrated as a stand alone device. I'm guessing the pre-amp section of a mass market receiver isn't going to be as good as an all tube front end of a tube integrated.
Help for an Old School Audiophile
Word of advice; Keep your original media. As the digital world changes, you’ll still have your master media. I still have my 60s LPs, you can never tell what is going to be preserved for the future or not.

Low Frequency Equalizer Unit for Infinity RS-2b (IIB) speakers
MagicMarksy has Control boxes listed (not sure if I can say) on that big biding site everyone uses. He also offers repair services for old boxes (I need that because my box developed a hum). On a side note: I currently run my woofer towers with a ...
New Audiophile going crazy
The cure is to go "all in" and buy some really expensive gear so that you can't afford to buy any more stuff for about a year.

Rogue Cronus Magnum Dies Help
I think you are on the right path. You brought up the common stuff, fuses etc. After a quick look, it seems like a factory repair issue.

Thiels are known to be a little thin sounding. I'd put a nice juicy sounding amp on that loudspeaker. Parasound A21 or one of many tube amps (Not ARC).
Klipch icon speakers
35hz is low enough but those speakers are 38hz at 3db down so a sub would help out.
Two subwoofers for two channel music listening
Best is speaker hook up. Just run from speaker to sub. Place subs forward firing and inside of your mains.
Playing with two sets of speakers simultaneoulsy
In the case you just described, using the Maggies as a woofer, you have made your own loudspeaker system. You might want to try a measurement to see what you have at the crossover point. But a general note of caution, if you were playing two full ...
