| MA5300 integrated amp. Any amp in a cabinet is going to run hotter than one out in open air. I have been known to take the backs off and leave the doors open when amps are placed in that type of furniture. | |
| Is the spade size an issue sonically if it’s larger than the contact area ? In the past I have removed the spades and replaced with smaller spades that fit my amps better. I'm more anal than most and a half decent solderer. | |

| drop down ceiling in basement...?? Drop ceilings are not a great idea, unless you have tons of head room. Try to get as much height as you can. Dry wall or dry wall with exposed floor joists. | |

| Can 2-channel be improved by using subtle surround Eno style? If you have large floor standing speakers, adding another large speaker doesn’t improve the sound as well as just upgrading your main speakers. Budget wise, it’s a bust vs two better speakers.EDIT: Same reason Quad was DOA. | |
