2-channel listening with a sub-woofer
My first sub-satelite was the MUSE sub with the TOTEM Model 1. Worked great, bought the personality card (custom crossover made for the totem model 1) but the transformer had a hum. It drove me nuts. Fast forward to my present set up and the sub i...
Is There any Truly "High End" Integrated Amp?
Talk2meIn my country $12000 for Emitter II and $8000 for Emitter I, both exclusive versions. Europe same price if not cheaper. American distributor is making a (HUGE) profit. During the review from TAS the distribution right became exclusive and d...
Is There any Truly "High End" Integrated Amp?
JpriceThe best integrated amp IMHO is the ASR Emitter Excusive II Blue version or the more reasonable model ASR Emitter Exclusive I. This is the best I have heard regardless price period. Harry from the Absolute sound loves it as well.

Remodeling - what to do - power
MattconeIMHO you cannot have enough power. Get as many dedicated circuits that you have space for in you electrical panel. If you can use 10 Gauge wire. The smaller the number of gauge the bigger the wire. Use only copper wire. Use good plugs, min...

ML 432 not enough?
The 33h would have (in my opinion) plenty of juice. I own the 335,33h,and the 33. There is honestly no comparision between them. The power supplies for the amps is what really make these amps sing. The big mono's regenarate their own 60 hertz signa...
Mark Levinson 33H vs Musical Fidelity KW Mono Amps
George, I was a very happy camper with my 33h for 8 years. When the 33 were installed it was almost sad to find out how much we had been missing . My wife made the comment and asked if the sub was on. It was not. The 33 has WAY more slam . The uni...
Mark Levinson 33H vs Musical Fidelity KW Mono Amps
I have had the kw mono's at my house while my friend was renovating his house.I own both the ML 33( on 220V 60amp) ML33h (110V 20amp) and the ASR II Emitter Exclusive. The kw didn't belong in the same room. Power ratings can be misleading. The 33h...
Lamm ML 2.1 SET vs ASR Emitter II, DartZel
The Calypso didn't sound as good as the CAT . While it might have had a slight edge over the CAT in the bottom end the presentation and sound stage width, depth, and especially midrange wasn't even close. Vocals were very closed in and not very pr...

Henryk: In my theater system I am using the ML 33s for the for the main L/R, 335 for the center, 33h for the rears. Fronts L/C/R are wired Valhalla interconnect (balanced), speakers are 1m Valhalla. The 2 channel is strictly ASR. The ML 30.6 DA ou...

Hello fellow GONers. I am new to AUDIOGON , but not to the audio world. I have recently purchased the Emitter II Exclusive blue version. Music gear has been in my life since the age of two. My dad built and rolled his own amps speakers etc. Second...
ASR Emitter ii Exclusive
Yes you are right . Total of four boxes. The Emitter has three cables each about 5/8 thick leading from the rear of the unit to each one of the boxes. These cables cannot be disconnected. Then each of the 3 boxes gets plugged in to your ac line, A...

Well, yes and no. The amp side runs on two separate power supplies one for each channel. They are heavy ,at 70 lbs each. The battery is only for the input stage. This units weight is around 45 lbs. When the unit is OFF or in STANDBY the battery is...
