For me its always alone when I get most enjoyment from the music.  I indulge, in the specifics of the music, in the mood, in the volume, in the repetition, in other words whatever I am feeling I need at the moment I play.  No need for other's appr...

Maybe a little off-base, but I am running my Vandy 5As with a Music Reference RM9 SE, with a Music Reference pre.  I love this combo.
