Crossover Redo on my Amrita Audio Floorstanders
It will be good to hear what more knowledgeable members advise. I have done it a few times in the past using better grade stuff with the same values. Also, don't forget to upgrade the internal wiring while you're in there. Parts Express will give ...
Audio stand needed....Moving main components from mechanical room to listening room
@gordon  For that ridiculous price you could get much better.
any current integrated amps in market have great dacs?
The better Vincent integrateds are supposed to be good, but I have no personal experience.
All Pre 1970 Vintage speakers suck! Prove me wrong
@tvrgeek  So are the Elacs what you use every day, and no other speaker?
21 year old AV receiver - waiting for the end?
@czarivey  been lately disappointed with pretty much ANYTHING new today so newer-better thing may hurt financially and functionally." A senseless blanket statement. So, you're saying that everything new is overpriced and inferior.

@tyray @emergingsoul  My apologies. I went overboard in my criticism of casters. I do realize that in some situations they may be needed, and I apologize for being coarse about it.
Audio stand needed....Moving main components from mechanical room to listening room
@tyray  Emergingsoul meant putting amos on racks with casters, and you're just as wrong as he is. Casters are bad if good sound is your priority. You say it makes moving convenient when making gear changes. How about placing it with sufficient ro...
A continuation of the best musician thread
I never heard of him, but I went to youtube, and yes, he's very good. Personally, I'd like to see someone with his talent as a hired gun with a band that has a vocalist, and additional songwriters. Nice as it is, that kind of music can have a bit ...

@emergingsoul  "There you go again!" as the late Ronald Reagan used to say. As usual, you say the opposite of what is true, and then call people who do the right thing crazy. Using casters on an equipment rack is absolutely the worst thing that ...
ADD-POWR POWR BAR
@curiousjim I don’t really understand it, but I recall some British gear years ago bragging that they had it and it was important, so when I bought a power strip, I chose one where each outlet was star grounded. Here’s an explanation that I fou...

Open your wallet and get something new and better. It won't hurt too much.
Audio stand needed....Moving main components from mechanical room to listening room
I know that Salamander makes a lot of different racks and configurations, but I don't think that they can really be called a serious audiophile performance brand, but more of an upscale lifestyle brand.
ADD-POWR POWR BAR
@lwin  Are the outlets star grounded?
Audio stand needed....Moving main components from mechanical room to listening room
@woots  I agree with @lalitk that core makes beautiful racks, but I still think that if ultimate performance is your goal, Live Vibe is the best choice. They are actually the opposite of anti-vibration. They allow speakers and components to vibra...
ADD-POWR POWR BAR
@lwin  I can see pictures of the products now. Which one did you buy> When I hit on power bar, there are a lot of products on that page.
