How an audio rack can enhance your amp/pre
Really surprised to hear that you use sorbothane pucks Wolf. Many years ago, I did as well. I also used special wood blocks. Then came the tip toes, and Goldmund cones.Anyway, since then, I have moved on to Sistrum supports and Audio Points, and I...
High value, high efficiency speakers for SET amps
One of the main advantages of the better Klipsch horn designs is the dynamics, which, importantly for me, hold up very well at low volumes.I have owned the KHorns in the 70's, the Cornwalls in the 90's and now the Epic CF- 4. all very good at "ser...
RBH Speakers ???
True. I'm also curious about Reaction Audio. Looks like a poor man's Tannoy, and they just began to offer Beryllium diaphragms as an option. And the prices are really reasonable. I think one problem with both of these brands is that they really at...
StarSound Sistrum racks
Dgarretson,Maybe not...if you look at Chayro's system photos, his two floorstanding racks don't appear to be too far removed from the one in the link he provided. The wall mounted turntable support seems more substantial.
The best CD Player for the money
That's true Baranyi, I haven't, and that's why I'm asking. I understand that there is a division of property, but again, why would she want his system if she doesn't want to use it?

Mechans,I have seen this before on the forums, and I don't understand why the ex-wife would end up with the equipment if she has no interest in it and doesn't use it
Why Don't More People Love Audio?
Phd,Just to be clear, I'm as far from a PhD as can be. I also make frequent spelling and grammatical errors. I think that I am overly sensitive to the frequent misuse of "there" and "their". If you take notice, many posters use the two words incor...

Phd,Are you really a Phd?, I ask because you wrote their instead of they're.
Ground 'box' what's in them?
I'm hoping Miguel from Tripiont is going to jump in at some point. He, and others that own his products on these forums certainly make me curious about the positive effects they are said to have on their systems. am not convinced that it isn't tru...
Does anyone run 2 or more turntables...
Drumarty,I see that you've been a member since 2008. Haven't you noticed in that time that a number of members have 2 ,3 and sometimes more turntables? I'm sure that the reason is because they can afford it, and they want to exploit the strengths ...
McIntosh MA 6100 modifications
I had the speaker terminals changed to modern types that would accommodate spades that were larger, as well as a new , better quality input jack, and an IEC nput so that I could use a different power cord. Since mine was so old, (Mac 2105) I also ...
Chris Squire, Rest in Peace
I live near Phoenix, and saw him with Yes twice at the Celebrity Theatre in the last two years, and he was as exciting as ever. I had seen Yes on the east coast a couple of times over the years, and have admired and enjoyed his playng for well ove...

Anyone receive Focal Utopia speakers with defects?
Deceiver777,Question:What's worse than a conspiracy theorist?Answer:Nothing.
Anyone receive Focal Utopia speakers with defects?
In the last photo, the paint towards the back of the speaker seems to be crazed, as if by extremes of temperature maybe. I think that is the most serious problem, and it would bother me.
