Equipment Rack Between Speakers...Good or Bad
Thanks for all of the interesting responses so far. I want to make clear though that I am not personally looking for a solution. I am happy with the way my system sounds as it is, but I have heard this subject referred to before and I just wanted ...
Equipment Rack Between Speakers...Good or Bad
kenjit,It's an old picture, and the room is now carpeted and the speakers moved closer in. It sounds really good. Anyway, I'm not complaining about my setup, just asking what others think about both options.d2girls,It is a PDS-95, and I love it.
Interesting/unusual concert pairings.
Squeeze opening for Elvis Costello was a great pairing. Dion opening for Graham Parker was a very strange one. The poor guy had a terrible case of stage fright that evening and could barely perform.
Reasonable high end interconnects: without breaking the bank
"Anyone with an uncovered TV or equipment stack between their HiFi mains please 'fess up. And go away."I have been reading this same idea for many years, and my own experience doesn't support it. It does sound like it would make sense, but I have ...

Why would you want to put them in nets?
Need advice in Audio Research Classic C-60Amp

A little History lesson on, "High- End" cables:
roberjerman,Interesting. I never heard of the Verion Triaxial IC's; and I had forgotten that the Goldens were made by Discwasher. They did look great at the time didn't they? Black and round with (!) gold plated RCA's.
A little History lesson on, "High- End" cables:
I remember buying my first set of "exotic" interconnects called Goldens back around 1976. My friends thought I was crazy for spending $5.00 on them! People of my age have a little different perspective on audio cables.
celestion 100 or b&w dm 601 s2
I never heard the 601, but I would strongly recommend the Celestion 100. It's a great small monitor. The SL series that it was born from were some of the seminal 2 way standmounts.
Favorite Collaborations
roberjerman,Those are bands you’re mentioning. I think that the OP meant temporary collaborations. He even said not artists who composed music together.
Favorite Collaborations
Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks. Just kidding...
The term "High End" needs to die. Long live Hi-Fidelity!
clearthink,You're correct, it was more of a statement, but you still need to chill.

Chill clearthink. It wasn't a command, just a question seeking opinions.
How Do You Deal With Baffle Edge Diffraction?
Elizabeth,That was an informative link that you attached, thanks.
Can You Fell the Love Tonight?
Time for another line I guess...
