Server/Source Recommendation For Denafrips Terminator So far I’m hearing a fairly big difference using i2s via the Sonore ultraDigital, most notable is the soundstage moving forward into the room. I prefer a more recessed presentation so I’m not liking this aspect of i2s. But it’s more detailed and a...
Server/Source Recommendation For Denafrips Terminator @mpomerantz I’m not sure about your DAC but the ultraDigital has dip switches for different i2S configurations, so you might find that yours is viable. It defaults to the PS Audio i2s but supports other options.
Server/Source Recommendation For Denafrips Terminator @redlenses03 My N100H is out on loan so I can't do a side-by-side just yet, but word has it that the i5, ultraRendu, digitalRendu into i2s is a step or two up from the sound of the N100H. I'm hoping that turns out to be the case. I'm certainly enj...
Server/Source Recommendation For Denafrips Terminator Thanks for the inputs above.I decided to 'tinker' with Roon, setting up Roon server on my Macbook and just getting a feel for its UI and such.To cut a long story short, I purchased a sonicTransporter i5, ultraRendu, iFi Zen Streamer and an ultraDi...
What Integrated Amp do You use Cambridge Audio Azure 840a is an unbelievably good integrated amp. I’ve had mine for years and it’s been both reliable and extremely competent, holding its own against many more expensive components which have come and gone. It’s in my bedroom sys...
Server/Source Recommendation For Denafrips Terminator Thanks for the recommendation on the Gaia. I've seen this on the Denafrips website but felt it would add a layer of complexity that I was looking to avoid. But it seems you're both saying that i2s is the way to go, it's just a case of finding the ...
Do You Ever Find Yourself Unable to Listen To Your System? All the time. I know it's happening and I know why, but sometimes I try to reignite my interest in the hobby by buying something new, usually something expensive that I shouldn't be buying. Other times I'll declare myself "done with the hobby" and...

Sell Me Your Women, Your Children, Your Vintage Turntable... So I pulled the trigger on a Dr. Feickert Woodpecker with Kuzma Stogi S 12 VTA and a Benz Micro LP-S.Now i have to wait, which I’m not good at. I’m hoping the Benz and Kuzma play well together. The Benz is a heavy little bugger. We’ll see.

Sell Me Your Women, Your Children, Your Vintage Turntable... I must say that considering a vintage TT has been a fun distraction. There are some gorgeous looking restored decks out there and the custom plinths in some cases are works of art.The Technics SP-10R looks like a real beaut, here's a video of OMA ...

Sell Me Your Women, Your Children, Your Vintage Turntable... @adsell Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve looked briefly at Microseiki. That DP 8 you’re using looks nice. I’ve been looking at an Amazon Referenz and they pIay well with the Moerch arms from what I’ve read. How do you like yours?rooze
Sell Me Your Women, Your Children, Your Vintage Turntable... @chrisoshea Thanks for the suggestions, but my turntables are sold and I’ve no need for a $2000 phonostage. I wouldn’t think there’s any real age limit for trying a vintage turntable either. I mean, a modern table doesn’t help me get up the stairs...
Sell Me Your Women, Your Children, Your Vintage Turntable... @millercarbon thanks for the clip. I really fluffed my lines. Old AND senile. Too much fried chicken and coke. |
