Thiel Owners hi Tom Thiel, thanks for writing. It is great to have you on this forum. I think us Thiel owners are an especially devoted and passionate group regarding their beloved speakers. I had the CS 2s from abut 1985 to about 1991 and enjoyed them b...
Thiel Owners as a 35 year, four generation owner of the 2 series, i would like to weigh in on the "Thiel is bright" issue. my first pair, the cs 2's were bright but not offensive. once i got the 2.2's that issue really became moot, and by the time i got...
Thiel Owners a response from Rob Gillum to a question i had asked himThe CS3.7 cabinet is pressurized from the woofer and it is true that if there is an air leak between the main cabinet and the coax chamber, it will cause unwanted pressure to the coax midrang...
Thiel Owners this is from Rob in response to an email i sent him. he has been great to work with.Thank you very much Kent! The transition period for the changes are difficult and many. I definitely have a good stock of CS2.7/CS3.7 coaxial drivers if need...

Thiel is officially closed!! Thank you very much Kent! The transition period for the changes are difficult and many. I definitely have a good stock of CS2.7/CS3.7 coaxial drivers if needed. My goals at THIEL are to continue providing excellent customer service for all THI...
A lot of hype about PS Audio, deservedly so ? hi Taylor, thanks for writing. they are truly a phenomenal company
A lot of hype about PS Audio, deservedly so ? I want to add my four cents worth as well. Except for my speakers (obviously), my entire system is PS. that includes the BHK 250 amp, the BHK pre, the DSD and the DMP. Plus the P10 and all their cords. i have been into audio since the mid 7...
Thiel is officially closed!! i do not think the older drivers were as vulnerable, as i have had four generations of the 2 series, and prior to the 2.7's, only blew one midrange one time. Gary at Thiel said it just failed and was not caused by anything i did.
Thiel is officially closed!! thank you so much. that is great advice and i will gently push on the midrange driver. i think the drivers are the same for the 2.7 and 3.7
Thiel is officially closed!! truthfully i am not sure. the first time it happened i think it was just a bad driver from the outset as it happened about two months into listening. was using a reference Marantz amp at the time. second time was using the great PS Audio BHK amp...
Thiel is officially closed!! true that. and to be able to get parts as well. i went ahead about 2 years ago and ordered a spare mid/tweeter unit for the 2.7's as they seem a little touchy (lost 2 in 3 years). nice to have a back up just in case.
Thiel is officially closed!! i am very pleased to read all the comments above and also to read that Rob is going to keep things going. I would suspect that there is no more coverage under warranty given that he is essentially starting a new biz, but i for one am just grate...
Thiel Owners just saw this and wanted to share. not surprising.https://www.strata-gee.com/thiel-toast/
Thiel Owners you are welcome. wish we could post pics here. I like Mapleshade products and my rack is the Samson rack which is pretty awesome and actually a good deal for what you get. I would also use the platforms under my speakers but to get that size i... |
