hi Arnie,   i suspect i need to bring my settings down but i would encourage you to raise yours.  i had some correspondence with John Hunter of REL and he gave me a rough idea of what he thought i should set the crossover at.  read below starting ...

hi Batman,   good to hear from you.   glad my  response got you into this group.   i have learned so much from reading all this and it is great to discuss our wonderful speakers with fellow Thiel lovers.   I use the BHK electronics from PS Audio a...

hi arniespin,  i have the SHO s/5 and it is a killer sub.  the REL guy was here last week for a demo and said it was the sweet spot of their audio oriented subs.  i will check my settings later but have them much higher than you do.

I have a friend/dealer (the only one in NC that sells Magico) and heard the A3 speakers recently. I think they retail for about 10K and not $223 but glad the 3.7's can hold their own.   Recently heard some bigger ones (about $28K) and they were ve...

well us A'gon guys will be most interested in how your speakers evolve and i appreciate what you are doing.  i had 2.4's before getting the 2.7's and the 2.7's were better for sure.   but with the mods to your speakers,  i bet you have closed the ...

from an email from Rob G:  The stabilizer pins are an internal part of the CS3.7, and should show some improvements with them in place. Especially in the bass region. The important thing is that the speakers are making contact with the sub-fl...

@tomthiel     wow that is so interesting.   i understand your love of the 2.2's.   I owned those from 1991-2007 (2.0 series before and 2.4 after) and they were the ones that really hooked me on the Thiel brand.  I have yet to own any of the others...

hi Tom and Jafant,   this thread gets better and better.   thank you all so much.  I would,  from my experience with both brass feet from mapleshade, and the GAIA feet, try them in your system.   i liked the brass feet a lot, and my girlfriend pre...

I am curious since we are on the subject of various support devices for the speakers.  Has anyone tried comparing the  sound with and without the outriggers that Thiel provided?   also i found this which sure looks interesting if one has an extra ...

@prof   I would try the GAIA feet as Music Direct offers a 100% refund if not happy.  i think they are very different in design from the isopucks and should work much better.  I like my ears about 4" below the tweeter and here is something i copie...
