Looking for the next level in imaging... @toddalin How can one know what the chosen position of instruments is? Do you know where the instruments are supposed to be on the stage in every song you ever listen to? Regards
Looking for the next level in imaging... @deep_333 Are you talking about sound that wraps around and behind you like surround sound ?
Listening position/speaker position @baylinor +1! Tweeter to tweeter equals 1. Tweeter to ear equals 1.2.
Looking for the next level in imaging... As @patrickdowns touched upon briefly with instrument placement I don’t see why so many here look for which instrument is where in a song. Are there more genres than classical orchestras that play music in such a way? Does most everyone here list...
Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers @roxy54 The SR-71 is the most bad ass plane ever built. In the early 60s ! It could outrun a missile fired at it. It was my joke to thecarpathians joke.
Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers I think the SR-71 could still take the speaker.
Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers @thecarpathian Yesssss!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
AXPONA 2024 @mikelavigne I am totally with you on the Goebel Wadax room. I heard them two years ago and it was stunningly good! Thanks for all the great pics a well! Regards Ron
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments? @zuesman And perhaps why such a big change is perceived is because the speaker is rocking back and forth due to the pistonic motion of the woofers and the woofers are unable to perform like they should. I’m going to do a vibration test video thi...
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments? @zuesman I definitely want to try them someday but I think how he is doing the testing should be considered. How many people stomp around on the floor while they are listening ? You can make anything vibrate if you give it a big enough shock. Wh...
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments? @zuesman Im sure you are correct that the podiums are better than the iso acoustic footers. They do get outstanding reviews from most everyone that uses them. My 2 channel system is in the basement on concrete so I think the benefit would be neg...
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments? @zuesman I suspect you have your system on a suspended wooden floor to notice such a difference. Our home theatre is on such a floor and we have isoacoustics footers under all speakers and subs. They did tighten up the bass nicely.
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments? @zuesman How do the podiums get rid of all the bad reflections in an untreated room ?
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments? I was surprised to see that so many members here with six figure systems and decades of experience don’t have dedicated rooms. Most actually.
Am I right for this forum? @snilf You are absolutely an audiophile in my book. I’ve only been doing this for three years. I figure at my level of knowledge I’m a junior audiophile at best and will probably stay that way as I just want to enjoy the music and not spend man... |
