Which power cords have high resolutions and separation??
@clearthinker We are eagerly waiting for the list of "fancy" power cords you ACTUALLY TRIED. It would help tremendously to give credit to your affirmations.
Do speaker cables really make a difference ?
@dentdog of course. That "expectation bias" explanation is utter BS. I have drawers full of audio cables, sometimes I swap them around, just for the sake of it, I already own them and have no "expectations" for "better" sound, but it sounds differ...
Do speaker cables really make a difference ?
@randym860 EVERYTHING has a sound signature. It's not alway the tone, or the frequency curve, it can be "precision", "depth", "width", "prat". Nothing is absolutely neutral and that includes cables. Some are closer to neutrality, for sure, but abs...
Are advances in technology making speakers better?
There have been tremendous advances regarding materials (with Ceramic, diamond, etc) and we now have tiny woofers that manage to produce some bass (at the expense of sensitivity of course, but still) at reasonable level. Wether those advances mak...
Do speaker cables really make a difference ?
@jasonbourne52 you never let go, do you? don't you get tired of repeating yourself again and again and again? it's both pathetic and hilarious.
Do speaker cables really make a difference ?
Of course they do, just like everything else, power cords included (big time). Do not listen to the naysayers. All they do is repeat stupid stuff they have read in 1973. Maybe they once tried some cheap-@ss Monster Cable (LOL) and didn't hear a d...
Wilson Sasha W/P amplifier pairing
Last Sunday I visited some local audio show (here in Brussels). There were two rooms using Wilson speakers. One made use of D’Agostino amps, the other had bigger model Wilsons (Alexx?) driven by a full fledged Nagra system, in a very big room. Th...
Thoughts on Pass B1 buffer "preamp"?
Well, I took the plunge and bought one, built by someone else with quality parts. I must say, it sounds fantastic, very transparent but not thin nor sterile. A wonderful preamp. @pindac the Korg version is a very different beast, I'm talking abo...
When someone tells you it's a $40,000 amp, does it sound better?
I’m at the extreme other end of the spectrum, with a great value Chinese DAC (Gustard), a fantastic 600$ active crossover (Sublime Acoustic), "gadget" priced low power Chinese class D amps (those cost the price of a meal in a decent restaurant), a...
Why not horns?
Also I'd like to add that what a lot of audiophiles are calling "horns" are in fact merely direct radiator speakers with horn loaded mids or treble. A true horn system is fully horn loaded and very often sound more coherent. it's not easy to match...
Why not horns?
There are no two horn speakers that sound the same. There are mediocre ones, good ones, very good ones, and some that are unlistenable. There are some with qualities BUT flaws (like most vintage Klipsch designs for example) that you can either liv...
Starting from scratch in a large room
I’d suggest a good conversation with your wife. If your room is huge, having a pair of floor standers isn’t going to change much to her daily routine. If the issue, then, is just cosmetics, maybe she can compromise a little to allow her loved one ...

Oh and let's not forget Tori Amos!
I don't get LRS and cheap Ayima AO7 amp
I also use a Chinese DAC (Gustard A18) and it is also incredibly good for the price (around 600$).
