Tweaks you got rid of because they were not effective (enough)?
My first reaction to, "embedment"  wasn't exactly positive.     Since; I've adjusted my thinking.      Some simply communicate their thoughts differently.      As many of us understand (sometimes, from decades of experience); what are being termed...

I’ve owned Big Silver Ovals, for a number of years and feel no compulsion to explore further, for the immediately aforementioned reasons (you saved me keystrokes, phillyb).    Tube amps to Maggies, for years.    Now; tubes to Emerald Physics.    I...

"Listen to live music with your eyes closed. Pay attention to the detail you hear, especially "imaging." "                                                         The results of that (obviously) will depend greatly on what you’re listening to, the...

I ran a pair of Acoustat Model IIIs, biamped to transmission line subs, for quite a while.     Had to downsize, do to a low WAF (lost the house/divorce).     Stayed with panels (Maggies), for years.     Now; I own a pair of Clayton Shaw’s earlier ...

It wasn't until decades after I began playing instruments, setting up/tuning/treating venues and running sound for bands, that I put together my first serious home system.     Listening to each voice/feed, separately and being certain their presen...

@kenjit-    PLEASE: move to Cuba, for their free, "healthcare".      They have very restricted internet access, as well.      Hopefully: that would keep you off AudiogoN.      A WIN-WIN scenario, for everyone (well, except for Cuba)!
Replacing Amp Caps
Mouser has these(80V, 22KuF, 2.5" X 4.125", screw terminal) in stock, if if not previously noticed, or surpassed in specs:                                         https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Cornell-Dubilier-CDE/CGS223U080W4C?qs=qWixfiLJR...
6505+ problem?
Not if you’re staying with the same output tubes.     There’s no bias adjustment for pre tubes.     Here's hoping it’s that easy (just a tube)!
6505+ problem?
Could be a tube, or- a loose pin/socket.    Try swapping your tubes, between channels.     See if the noise follows.                 If you bought it new; the rest of the amp is covered for a two year period.
Automatic Room Correction has won the Subwoofer Wars
How obtuse!      My only point has ever been that FFT based programs can window out the later arrival times of reflections and discern them from direct (speaker to mic) impulses (ie: when performing time/phase alignments between subs and mains, et...

Identifying an Auditorium 23 Step up transformer
@dekay -  Thanks for the link!    That's the closest thing I have for printed info, regarding my A23 SUT.      Got nothing with it, when purchased (well, outside of excellent performance).
