“TAD” Tubes
Find a picture in which the GE 6650's plate construction, resembles that of the TAD version.       GE:  https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ALeKk008s9IFOesJfnELbxiV6qQDoek0rQ:1607987542896&source=univ...    TAD:      https://www.ebay.com/itm/F...
“TAD” Tubes
Just some general info: There are no SED, Winged =C=, Svetlana tubes, currently in production.     I really liked them (bought from Upscale), but- the St Petersburg plant burned down, years ago (along with it’s equipment) and SED closed the door...

Constant noisy tubes maybe go solid state?
Brent Jessee currently has some Amperex 6211 tubes (Holland/10K hrs), intended/noise tested for IBM, that won’t break the bank.      Might be worth your time, to discuss those with him, since you liked the Amperex sound.       Info on that premium...
McIntosh fuse changeout to make better sound
"Yoko Ono sounds fantastic, but ONLY with perfectly selected fuses."                                                The burned out variety?
An old phrase which, I believe, may be timely...
"Caveat emptor" will remain a relevant principal, until there's no further greed, dishonesty or- faulty goods, on the planet.       id est: FOREVER!
McIntosh fuse changeout to make better sound
Once again; No one can possibly know whether fuses will make a difference, in their system and room, with their media and to their ears, without trying them for themselves.     Some companies offer a 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee, so- those that...
Amp-preamp mismatch?? result higher volume. What is rthe cause??
The PS amp’s sensitivity is lower (1.01 vs 1.6V) for it’s (higher) rated output/gain, compared to the BAT.             +1 (each for testpilot, millercarbon and twoleftears)

The Irrational But Efficacious CD Tweak
@andik-   There are no claims, other than it’s content being a series of frequencies (or combinations/Noises*), mentioned by the maker of the Irrational But Efficacious CD.       You might try ripping one on a computer/laptop, to a digital file.  ...
Does Power Cord Require Burn-In To Sound Good?
@audio2design-      "Not sure who you think you are fooling with this?"      "....with some hard numbers what your claimed dielectric impacts would be on a power cord....."       Are you actually that obtuse?       I’ve, "claimed" nothing (hence: ...
Does Power Cord Require Burn-In To Sound Good?
@audio2design- I’m absolutely certain (experientially); you’re absolutely wrong.        Yours is simply another uninformed, Naysayer Doctrine adherent’s assumption.        Now: deny the possibilities, offered by the facts presented.
Does Power Cord Require Burn-In To Sound Good?
Anyone, genuinely interested in some of the parameters/considerations, possibly governing the faithful propagation of our signals/voltages, as regards cabling and components, should study the following.      Having no formal (or other, it seems) e...

Retubing dilemma
There’s a lot of good information here, regarding 6SN7 tubes: http://www.dehavillandhifi.com/6sn7_vt.htm       Far as whether you should have two of the exact same iteration/manufacturer, in each amp: pay particular attention, to the third from th...
