Replacement capacitors exploding
@fiesta- I’ve bought from Mouser in the past, as well.   Believe I got the eight last EPCOS filter caps, I installed in my Carys, from them.     Do they carry any higher-end films?     Just got back from work and (at times) searching their site ...
Replacement capacitors exploding
@czarivey - "Why it was necessary to replace??if you connected them backwards, they will explode" There is no, "backwards" with non/bi-polarized capacitors!!   🙄

@jamessheyser-    Again: try contacted Millersound, with the driver numbers.    He should be able to fill in the blanks (ie: even whether stock, or not), for you.                     Another avenue, far as possible OEM driver info:    https:...
Magnepan warm-up?
Give your CDP about four or five hours, to warm up before your next listening session.     Sans CD, of course.         I'll bet that makes a big difference.    It's been my experience; digital stuff takes the longest.      Still: the Maggi...
Ok, but does your audio gear have rotons (metamaterials)?
@thecarpathian- "Interesting tidbit, when you finish a sentence with three periods instead of the standard single period, that triple period is known as an ellipsis..."     HEY: I made one of my favorite skydives (perhaps: THE favorite), during ...
Can an unused cable break in?
@rvpiano- Sorry for the derailment (old fart, reminiscing)!
Can an unused cable break in?
@jea48 -   " I would never use it to verify the circuit is de-energized if you are going to work on the circuit."       Never have.  Always figured: that's what my Fluke DMM was for.   My first DMM was an 8020B, if you remember those.     Bought...
Bi amp and bias issue
I helped a friend of mine bi-amp his (recently purchased, used of course) EP CS2's, with one of these.       If one is somewhat computer literate, it's a cakewalk:  https://www.minidsp.com/products/minidsp-in-a-box/minidsp-2x4-hd        Wou...

@jamessheyser- If you have blown woofers, Klipsch used 15", 8 Ohm, Eminence, in most of their stage monitors.     Parts Express carries a wide variety.     Eminence sells direct.    ie:  https://www.eminence.com/speakers/speaker-detail/?model=Al...

@asctim-    Ti is also very difficult to machine, must be machined slowly, requires special/expensive tooling and wears that tooling, very quickly.                       Great stuff, when you can use it!

@tomic601 -    "I also believe my point about “ large “ was also made in Animal House. Veggie aisle, … say no more…."       My favorite place for cucumber, is in a Middle Eastern restaurant.   NO: not in the Belly Dancer (you sick puppy).   The ...

@avsjerry-     "...happy you're happy with 'Enter'...;)  But many problems stem from PEBKAC....*G*."               In my case: it's NLBK (Nut Loose Behind Keyboard)!

@fiesta- We must have been typing at the same time, but: you beat me to the punch, per the thoughts on stage monitors (to much editing, here).

ClarityCap makes excellent capacitors.     Matter of fact: I have four ESA25, 250V and two ESA 50, 250V caps looking for a home. Also: two Mundorf, CFC14 (14Ga), .46 Ohm, 2.7 mH, air core inductors, looking for a good home (someone that act...

@millercarbon-  " By return I meant enter. Whatever they call it on your keyboard that takes you back to the beginning of the next line. Only necessary on certain browsers or computers or whatever that this site doesn’t play nice with."       I ...
