Electrovoice 18" Woofer: smallish Magnet; only 2.3 ohms?
Then again, if your goal is simply seeking info and learning; too much data still isn't enough!                                Happy listening and enjoy the journey!
Electrovoice 18" Woofer: smallish Magnet; only 2.3 ohms?
What do want to know?         In your first post and again 07-18-2021 10:10am: you asked about a nominal speaker spec (8 Ohm) vs a DC spec.       Again: if your 18" woofers came out of either EV Six or 400 systems: an amplifier's outputs ...
Electrovoice 18" Woofer: smallish Magnet; only 2.3 ohms?
If your drivers did come out of an EV Six system: they should be a nominal 8 Ohm, far as what your amp's output will see, regardless of how they measure with DC.     Everything changes, depending on the way the woofer is loaded and it's desig...

What + experience have you had with an indoor FM antenna?
If you can mount an outdoor antenna in the highest point of your attic* and aimed (best as possible) at the desired stations, it would help.      Or: an outdoor Omni, up there*.      Not being anywhere close to a decent FM station can suck. ...

Why is science just a starting point and not an end point?
"Well, I asked for a clear example from rodman99999 about some tweak he "hears" making a difference at home, and we get yet more scattershot rambling and links...as if someone else needs to do the job to piece it all together."       Well, POOF ...

btw: Someone mentioned lifting cables off carpeting.        Whether that's audible or not: I can't say, as none of mine have ever been on the carpet, in the past 40 years..         I can say: whatever your cables are contac...
Why is science just a starting point and not an end point?
Should anyone need a rationale for trying new cables or fuses in their system and is dissuaded by the Naysayer Church's antiquated electrical doctrines: take heart!        Many new electrical facts have been established in the past 100 ...
