Why don't amplifier Companies use high end fuses?
".....impressed..."??   The OP’s title: 'Why don’t amplifier companies use high end fuses?'  My reply(et al) indicated, SOME DO(or- at least their designers believe fuses make a difference).
Willing to be proved wrong.
Whatta ya bet, by now, elmuncy ’s upgraded everything/moved on?  It would be interesting, to hear the rest of the story!
Do 45 rpm 12" LPs really sound better than 33 rpm?

Do 45 rpm 12" LPs really sound better than 33 rpm?
@billstevenson - " Some of the gains are offset by the loss due to the inferior signal to noise ratio."?? What, "inferior S/N ratio? I have both new(as of 2000) and old(bought in the 80’s), 45 RPM, 12" vinyls. I’ve always prized them ALL, for thei...
Why don't amplifier Companies use high end fuses?
When I auditioned a pair of Odyssey Audio monoblocks, in my home, I had occasion to remove the covers(with Klaus’s permission). Apparently, Mr Bunge(electronic designer and manufacturer) believes fuses make a difference, given the amps had all the...
Audiogon member suggestions for a speaker that sounds good at low volume!!!
Whatever speakers you might purchase, keep this in mind, regarding how things sound at low volume levels(vs high): https://ehomerecordingstudio.com/fletcher-munson-curve/  AND: https://www.teachmeaudio.com/recording/sound-reproduction/fletcher-mun...
Pop Sound in my speakers when driven loud from studio recorded CD sources.
You might be hearing the woofer voicecoils, bottoming out, or- when woofers exceed their max excursion, things can sound really nasty. Another possibility, that I’ve experienced: a bad filter capacitor in your amp’s power supply. I thought one woo...
Online LP Dealer Deceit - Any Experience(s) and Advice?
I’ve been dealing with Elusive Disc, for a couple decades, without disappointment. A VPI SDS and RCM 16.5, some PS Audio stuff and lots of music. They pack the hell out of the vinyls, in boxes made for LPs, and everything’s always, simply right!  ...
Is the Last Record Preservative system a worthwhile investment?
Been using both LAST and STYLAST, since they hit the market. Bought my first VPI RCM, about the same time (a 16 and now I own a 16.5) . Never have seen the first sign, of anything gathering on a stylus. Never experienced the first problem, regardi...
Hi Fi Tuning fuses
The assertion: HIFI Tuning fuses are a danger, to the DC circuitry of tubed amps. The issue: Thus far, NO evidence/coroboration, outside of one(purported) incident/report. All I’ve heard from the Fuse Police, are deflections and cop-outs.  IF thes...
Hi Fi Tuning fuses
@bdp24 - About that, "report": The concept is really quite simple/logical: You BROUGHT it up. Now, BACK it up!
Hi Fi Tuning fuses
@bdp24 - As I’ve stated before, numerous times, IF that article is correct, WHERE’S THE EVIDENCE? That ONE incident can’t be the only one, CAN IT? You can take his word for it, but- I’ve personally been using HIFI Tuning fuses in my tubed amp, DC ...
Hi Fi Tuning fuses
Again(from the other fuse thread):  It seems, quite a few that frequent this site, value the opinions of the Stereophile Magazine writers. Personally, I would think, they’d be somewhat conscientious, as much as they value testing things, before ...
Hi Fi Tuning fuses
Regarding that ONE incident, SUPPOSEDLY caused by HIFI Tuning fuses:  I repeat-    I’m looking forward to further evidence, of amps being damaged by, "high-end" fuses. Like I said, the Internet SHOULD be replete with the tales. One would think th...
