The best acoustic guitar recordings??
Mark Selby, "and the horse he rode in on". Terrific music played on his '74 Mossman, and well recorded from inside his living room. Heard Mark and his beautiful wife Tia do some of these cuts live at a friend's home. Listening to him playing, "A W...

First song to "Blow You Away"...
Cool Jerk was the first song that penetrated my skin and awoke my soul. But the one which melted my brain was The Pusher, performed live by Steppenwolf at mt first concert. That was a game changer for me.
Music that everyone else loves but you just don't
almost all popular new music including rock, alternative and especially hip hop, rap+1 to that for me, with the addition of indie, popular Country music, and free jazz. Can't stand these icons: Grateful Dead, Leonard Cohen, Frank Sinatra, Radiohead...
Forgotten heavy bands from late 60's to early 70's
Atomic Rooster, "Atomic Rooster" and "Death Walks Behind You" ... killer stuff. Also check out Jade Warrior, though perhaps more avant garde than heavy. Also check out Man, "Live at the Padget Rooms, Penarth", "Christmas at the Patti", and "Maximu...
Forgotten heavy bands from late 60's to early 70's
Some Detroit area bands to seek out for that time frame: Iggy and the Stooges "The Stooges" "Fun House" "Raw Power", MC5 "Kick out the Jams", Frigid Pink "Frigid Pink".
Frank Zappa?
For me, I only like Hot Rats, though not sure if I ever heard Joe's Garage. I do also like Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar, but don't consider that a real release, more of a novelty. But a darned good one.

John - Agree on Founders. Nearly every flavor is very big and good. Us beer imbibers live in an amazing time with so many terrific choices out there these days. I feel like a kid in a candy store sometimes.

Equipment that has made you 'stop' looking?
My current system as is, cables and all. Especially cables, thank God! I turned into a neurotic crazy nutcase looking for the right ICs for my system. Turned out that for me, I preferred copper for all cables (SC, IC, and PC). That really helped m...

I like DK very much. I think she is talented and greatly appreciate artists such as she who produce superbly recorded material. I have heard most of her material and own three of her releases: "Live in Paris" and "All for You", which are my favori...
Subs/Monitors vs Full-Range Speakers - Pros/Cons
Xti16 - dual subs in my system are not for more bass, but for smoother bass response. If properly set up, two or more subs can reduce nulls/peaks where one sub cannot.
