For all you Bose 901 Haters!
My first adventure with Bose was before I became an audiophile. My wife and I heard a pair when we entered our now long gone local “Circuit City” back in the day. When anyone entered that particular CC store, they had the Bose + subwoofer playing ...

Thanks Bifynne,That used to happen with my old ARC VT-100 MKII power amp too. Back in the day I used to run my VT-100 with a PS Audio Power regenerator. Fortunately when a power tube went bad the power conditioner would shut down before the bias r...

Bifwynne,Sorry I'm a little late to this thread, but on 4-9-2015 you stated:"The only issue I had ... and a minor one at that ... is burned bias resisters in my amp. And the cost to fix is minimal. There is a local authorized ARC service rep who l...
Ice h2O S250 digital amp vs Levinson 333.5
I haven't directly compared the H20 Signature S250 directly to any of the Mark Levinson amps but have directly compared it to my Audio Research VT-100 MK 2 tubed amp for 3 weeks. I found it to sound better than the VT-100 in a number of ways (see ...

Audio Research REF2 MK 1 Vs. MK 2
I also have the Ref2 MK1 modified by GNSC. I am using Upscale Audio's EH 6992s which are a improvement over the stock ARC 6922s. I've never had the MKII in my system but do know another person that tried the MKII but preferred his MKI. However as ...
H20 Revisited
Audiofrankj: I'm curious if Henry has the Special Edition available for the Stereo 250 Signature too. I couldn't find anything on his website about it. I am also using a tubed preamp with my H20--an Audio Research Reference 2 modified by Great Nor...
H20 Revisited
Thanks Muralman1 for the suggestion. However I'll first have to take a course on soldering 101. Seriously, I did find the V-caps an improvement stock bypass caps. If I remember correctly you did try the V-Caps. If so, how did you find the Sonicap ...
H20 Revisited
My H20 S250 replaced my tubed ARC VT100MKII in May 2005 and I am still most happy with it. When I first auditioned it I found that it was the first non-tubed amplifier that I could listen to without bleaching out the harmonics. Since I bought it I...
ProAc Response D28
No. Where did you hear about the D28 replacing the D25?
Class D Amps - FM reception
I just received my H20 Stereo 250 Sig back with an upgrade to the newest version ICE modules and V-Caps ugrades. I am presently breaking it in with a JVC FM tuner and have absolutely no problems with FM interference.
Has anybody experienced Proac D80?
Hraouf1The D80 is more detailed than the 3.8 but at the same time has a more refined midrange & top end. The bass of the D80 is another league complety which is deeper, has more definition, and authority. The D80 of course will play louder tha...
what is the best amp $3000.00 can buy
I am a little late coming to this thread. I agree with Lloydf about the H20. I bought one last year to replace my tubed Audio Reseach VT100. I never thought that I could live without a tubed amp until I tried the H20. It is an amazing product. Hen...
Has anybody experienced Proac D80?
I am also a former oner of the ProAc 3.8 who has upgraded to the D80. The D80 is far superior in every area. No comparison and worth the upgrade to be sure if you like the sound of ProAcs.
