Those with experience with Rowland Model 6's? Thanks Hifimaniac I will shoot off a email to him today.
Those with experience with Rowland Model 6's? Jemo I was told they are class A and not a sliding biased amp;I never checked with rolands tech support group though.I always have my eye out for the BPS option as I have been told from others as well that it is a very worthwhile investment.
Those with experience with Rowland Model 6's? I have these amps without the bps and they drive Soundlab m2's and usher rw 723 monitors and one channel seems to run hotter than the other and never thought it was a concern as class A amps run hot (hotter) than other class amps.I would call rola...
Those with experience with Rowland Model 6's? Is this occuring with just the batteries or both power sources (ac/dc)?
Help in upgrading monitors. Second Usblues's Merlin suggestion.
the smoothest sounding speaker I agree with Pubul57 choice of the merlins and would add Dunlavy scIII,scIV,scV and scVI's into the mix;these are speakers that you could listen to forever.I would also vote for my current speaker soundlab m2's except impedance curve and listening...
Zero Autoformer good/bad for Atma/Quad combo I would give Ralph a call to get his opinion on this but I think he will see the thread and post his response.I think you would not need them as the drop is at the higher frequencies that don't require a large amount of power.
Which tube monos? So many choices.Very intimidated Hello Thedubemaster,Welcome to the world of tubes;I would pay attention to the reply from Atmasphere and Rushton;if you are not familiar with Atmasphere; I personally believe he is one of the top pre amp/power amp tube manufacturers in high end au...
best monitor speaker under $2000 Koven-I think your comment maybe out of line as I have bought my speakers without audition using responses from the members who post here on a regular basis;it is not possible always to audition a speaker you really want to consider and asking for...
best monitor speaker under $2000 I would consider looking at some of the used Merlin monitors for sale that are in your price range;if you are interested then call Bobby at merlin for his opinion on how well they would perform with your rotel as I am not familiar with it;you may ...
Experience with high end fuses???? This is one area of our hobby that does not make any sense to me;that a fuse can make a audible difference;maybe I don't have the ears to hear it though.
Duntech repairs? I would contact Bill LeGall at Millersound for his opinions;he is very highly regarded in the speaker repair industry and a nice guy to talk with.
Kudos to Audio Research Jab-I think I would have to disagree with you on that pointas a bad tube can bring down a amp if the design is not there to protect other components that maybe involved;if a tube shorts biasing resistors and/or caps may burn as well as tube socket...
How to get the system sounding live? Have you done any room acoustical analysis?Maybe there are some first reflection points causing problems as well as behind speakers and corners if in the listening field.
How do you drive 12 Ohm speakers? I think Macrojack is spot on if the impedance specs are correct. |
