Authenticity of Speakers Don't be suckered in by what you think is a low price. Something smells fishy here, so proceed with extreme caution.
Authenticity of Speakers Why would you trust them? You cannot determine the provenance of the speakers as he claims to have bought them from storage locker auctions ... who knows how many prior owners there were. Even if you have the serial numbers and call Klipsch, all t...
Which 30K Speakers Would You Give Up For Tekton Double Impacts? "Two swallows does not a summer make."30 years ago, I'd have been all over that comment. Now, I just sit back, smirk, and keep my mouth shut. Getting old sucks.
Is the 2.5 way speaker the ideal home speaker? I really don't think there's any reason to be insulting. Everyone likes what they like, and one person's preference is no more valid than another's.
Is the 2.5 way speaker the ideal home speaker? @erik_squires ... thanks for the info. I really have learned a lot from your insights.
Is the 2.5 way speaker the ideal home speaker? The Perspective has two midrange/woofer units. That appears to be different from the 2.5 way described by the OP, which has one midrange/woofer and one full woofer. So, is the Perspective a true 2.5 way or some hybrid variation?
Is the 2.5 way speaker the ideal home speaker? I think a 2.5 way is an interesting concept. I prefer a 2 way with a subwoofer, which provides options in tailoring the lower frequencies.
New Speakers ... Can't Stop "Listening" @ozzy62 ... Oz, I enjoy your posts very much. However, I don't know what the post above has to do with the Pulsars.
New Speakers ... Can't Stop "Listening" OK, I'll bite. JA claims that the SEAS drivers are customized for them. They claim also that the Modaferri xover is unique to them as a licensee. So, even if you bought the kit and had it installed in cabinets, would it sound similar to the Pulsar...
New Speakers ... Can't Stop "Listening" @pc997 ... no offense taken. I agree that the Pulsars are expensive. I wish I had the skills to build my own speakers, like you, but I can just about hammer in a screw. :-) Happy listening.
Paypal issue beware. Sorry to read of this. That's why I insist on a check, and then ship AFTER it clears my account. I just won't use Paypal.
New Speakers ... Can't Stop "Listening" @oddiofyl ... Well said. That's exactly how I feel.
New Speakers ... Can't Stop "Listening" @pc997 ... I got a competitive trade-in on my 17 year old B&Ws, so the hit wasn’t as bad as I had expected. Bottom line is that I wanted the JA sound (which is very difficult to find used) and, as my mother has always said, "if you buy the bes...
New Speakers ... Can't Stop "Listening" No doubt that the SEAS drivers make a difference, but so does the Modafferi x-over which Jeff Joseph has improved upon. I can only describe the sound of the Pulsars as natural and unforced. There's an ease of presentation that I haven't heard in o...
New Speakers ... Can't Stop "Listening" @mr_m ... I had the original Nautilus 804s. |
