Recommendation for very good inexpensive 35mm SLR.
Albert probably shot more film in the last week than all of us put together shot in the last 10 years! What's worse is he made money doing it and got a bunch of great audiophile toys out of it--met some really cool musicians... oh well you get the...

I've got a Nikon FG with a Nikor 50mm lens and a telescopic 35 to 105 zoom lens. It has an autowinder as well. I hadn't really considered selling it--but when I read this I thought maybe I should. I have not used it in a couple of years--but the i...
How can you tell if a MoFi disk is genuine?
I've often wondered the same thing, particularly with the CDs. Have you seen what the Wall and U2 Joshu Tree MoFi CDs go for? You wouldn't have to auction off very many to make quite a lot--and I've often wondered if someone has done just that.
speaker placement in a tough room, please help.
As to the driver question it's really the area of the driver that determines how much air can be moved. This alone does not determine the roll off frequency, but two 6 inch drivers can move as much air as one 10 inch driver. In addition a 6 inch d...

Sugarbrie: I knew you were kidding to some degree--so was I. I guess satirical comments don't always come across that way in text only.
speaker placement in a tough room, please help.
Dave: This is not an uncommon occurance. The reason has to do with the reverberation times of a large vs small room. In a small room the reverberation times are short and they actually add to the spaciousness of the image because psychoacousticall...
What's the size of your listening room and/or ht?
Ozfly--thanks. I really can't wait to post what we are doing. We are working in some really intersting areas--trying to reduce the square footage (although still realistically large), fit into the house appropriately (geometry wise that is), and m...

I'm not so sure Sugarbrie. It doesn't matter how much you start with--this whole hobby is a disease and the habbit becomes rapidly more expensive. I can't imagine where I'd be now if I STARTED with a lot of money!
Need Help Jennifer Warnes & Cowboy Junkies Music
Sara K. is good suggestion. Tuxedo Cowboy sounds so much like Caution Horses it's a little scary. Rebecca Pidgeon has some similarities and a very good voice--but a very strange actor. Janis Ian, breaking silence and Hunger are both very good. Hop...

Finished your project Sean, or did you use the stealth computer?

I think this is a very relavent and thoughtful question for A-gon. I have two systems that were built around different principles, but it's not exactly clear (even to me) if it was a philosophy or a component, because it evovled from one to the ot...
speaker placement in a tough room, please help.
Dave: Then I stick with my first response. This is an area that none of the software programs address. You can model things in both areas, but you will likely not get very different results other than some minor modifications in the RT-60 response...
Not too early to consider CES
Great idea Albert, I will be there--just let us know where to meet.
Studio Acoustic Tiles/Panels for listening room?
Your room needs help. Our company can of course help you, but let me give you a few pointers that might help significantly. I'm not entirely clear on the room shape and location of the vanity, but that could be one source of problems--it depends a...
speaker placement in a tough room, please help.
I re-read your post and may have misunderstood the slope to your room. Is it centered about the room--so sloping in one direction from one side to the other? If it's a continuous sloping then I did read it correctly the first time, but if not my a...
