Decware CSP2 + Ordered a CSP2+ a couple weeks ago to mate with my Odyssey Khartago. Steve from Decware said there were 90 units ahead of mine (not all CSP2's, of course), and it would take about 12 weeks. So, if you order one, you best be a patient man.
Rega RP3 or Pro-ject Expression III? Adam18, great set up! RP3 came today. Just got it running for the first time about 15 minutes ago. Listening to Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert. All I can say is, what's a CD again?
Emotiva amplifiers review/experience? Bryston, eh? I always thought Emotiva was going for a McIntosh vibe. Some of their older model amps even had glowing blue voltage gauges. As for quality, I'm not sure. I actually own a USP-1 preamp, which so far has been a great piece of equipment...
Rega RP3 or Pro-ject Expression III? The RP1 had an Ortofon OM5e, and the RP3 had a Rega Elys 2. The Elys 2 can be ordered with the RP3 for $1095, vs. $900 without. I ordered my table with the Elys 2, as it is $300 if purchased separately.--Alex
Rega RP3 or Pro-ject Expression III? Thanks for your thoughts, everyone. I went ahead and ordered an RP3 from my local dealer tonight. His demo model sounded sweet through a pair of B&W 802D's--hopefully it sounds good through my Lores, too. I a/b'd it against an RP1 while I was ...
Zu Omen or Tekton Lore This thread has had me drooling over the Lores for some time now. Well, I finally placed my order last week and Eric said they should ship soon(ish). I also have a Decware CSP2+ tube preamp on order to pair with my Odyssey Khartago, but that'll be...
Zu Omen or Tekton Lore So, I know this is off the current topic, but the OP asks about the better speaker for SET's, yet I'm sure I read somewhere--either in this thread or one of the Lore reviews--that Eric recommends at least 20 watts for the Lores. Has anyone found t...
What makes a bigger change, dac or preamp? What's your budget? Is the Squeezebox your only source or do you need analogue inputs as well? If your budget is ample enough, you can go with something like the Peachtree Grand Pre, which is a preamp with a high quality dac built in for around $4...
Zu Omen or Tekton Lore Can anyone offer some insight as to how the Oriels differ from the Lores, design and sound-wise?
Efficient speakers with high powered ss amp? Tekton has a new model, the Lore-s, which Eric Alexander tells me has a sensitivity of 93-94 db. This sounds like a better speaker for my system, since they are not quite as efficient as the original lores, but still efficient enough that I can us...
Efficient speakers with high powered ss amp? Thanks for the thoughts on the Lores. With his feedback in mind, I think I'll give them a shot. I'd like to move into tubes next time I revamp my system, so the Lores give this option. Sounds like they're pretty flexible speakers. Thanks all for t...
Efficient speakers with high powered ss amp? Hmm... So are you guys saying you get a new amp everytime you switch speakers?
Efficient speakers with high powered ss amp? Hi all, thanks for your responses. What originally spurred this question was all the talk here on Audiogon about the great sound and quality of Tekton Lores. I'm in the market for some new speakers and thought about giving these a shot since they ...
Jaton or Emotiva Preamp? Pulled the trigger on a USP-1. I'll post a review after it's arrived and I've listened to it a couple weeks.--Alex
Madison WI Hi,I'm new to the audiophile world and am worrking on assembling a modest 2-channel system. I'd be interested in checking some people's systems out and listening to music every once in a while. My musical tastes vary, but I mainly listen to Jazz.B... |
