Can I use integrated as standalone pre and/or amp? OK, did as Tls49 suggested; switched the L & R channels from pre to amp. The weak channel moved to the right! Guess I'll be packing up the Decware and sipping it off for repair. What a PITA.Thanks for everyone's help on this.Best,Rischa
Can I use integrated as standalone pre and/or amp? Ejlif,Did this. Spent a good hour swapping, rotating, and securing all interconnects yesterday. My wife thought I'd gone off the deep-end.
Can I use integrated as standalone pre and/or amp? Tls49,Brilliant! I'll try it. As for the output level controls, this was one of the first things I checked, along with the input level controls.Best,A.R.
Can I use integrated as standalone pre and/or amp? Jmcgrogan2,Thanks for the guidance. I had a feeling this would be the case, but was hoping I was wrong. I appreciate you saving me from blowing my system out!Best,A.R.
Zu Omen or Tekton Lore Still rockin' my stock (no upgrades) Lores in the man-cave, and M-lores in the family system. No urge to upgrade here. As I write this, I'm listening to the Classic Records mono reissue of Jackie MacLean's "Swing Swang Swingin'" on the Lores. The ...
Incredible new USB DAC from GOTO Unit USA Oh, I see, so this is an advertisement. I thought this review sounded odd over on that other forum, but reading it again here verbatim, I'm now sure of it!
Fast power cables? Please indulge an audiophile newbie (that is, I'm not asking to make fun of your question, but because I'm unfamiliar with these terms in regards to cables). How can a cable be fast and powerful? What qualities make one cable more or less fast/pow...
PHONO STAGE FOR REGA RP1 or RP3 I'm assuming you mean 1500 euros for the turntable and phono stage, not 1500 euros for the phono stage alone, correct? (I'm basing this on the fact that one of your TT choices is the RP1, which only runs about $4-500 U.S., so you probably wouldn't...
Zu Omen or Tekton Lore Avs9,I listen to about 50/50 Jazz/Classical, and was a bit worried myself how the Lores would handle Classical, mostly due to reports that they lack resolution compared to higher end speakers. Well, my reservations proved unfounded when the Lores ...
Decware CSP2 + CSP2+ arrived last week and is now, more or less, broken in. How does it sound? In a nutshell, phenomenal. I've already been writing about it over on Audiocircle, so I'll just post a link to that thread in case any of you frequent both sites. Happ...
Decware CSP2 + Nope, hasn't come yet. But I did get an email from Decware informing me it was in QC. I'll report back when it's here.
Zu Omen or Tekton Lore A testament to how well the Lores disappear...I just had a friend over (someone who doesn't know an amplifier from a Walkman), and she was sitting in my sweetspot listening to jazz and asked, "where's the center speaker?" She wouldn't believe me t...
Zu Omen or Tekton Lore Finally got my Lores today. They sound great. I mostly listen to jazz, and the Lores are perfect for reproducing the dynamism of a live jazz performance. I'll post further impressions when I've had more time with them, and they've had a chance to ...
Rega or Marantz?? I just purchased a pm6004 and cd6004 to use in a secondary system. Only listened to the amp a few times yet (waiting for a new media stand so I can set things up), but I thought it sounded great, even without break-in time. Can't say how it compar...
Rega RP3 or Pro-ject Expression III? A friend of mine has a vpi record cleaner, so he's been washing all my records for me. I'll have to get one of my own at some point, though. |
