Holo May KTE vs Lampizator?
@jaybe Thank you for the call out.  @lurch-uk Bad form x2, why not start your own thread?
How to choose speakers that won't overpower your room?
I would think you will get the best results with front ported stand mounted speakers and a sub.  This will maximize your placement flexibility and give you some low end that floor standers won't provide when playing at polite volume levels.  Good ...
Aurender N20 versus Innuos Zen NG
If I'm correct the Grimm units are a pretty old release.  Will there be a next gen soon?
Are there any recording artists you just can’t listen too?
Any band that spends more time on their hair than song writing.
Aurender N20 versus Innuos Zen NG
I just did an inhouse demo of the N20 vs Pulsar, I couldn't get a Zen next-gen.  My key takeaway was that the Pulsar was more detailed, forward in the room and leaner than the N20.  The N20 was notably thicker and smoother, bigger bottom end and l...
Adding JL Dominion d-108 sub… surprise
Congratulations on your upgrade.  Obviously subwoofer room placement is key.  Also keep in mind that after getting LF reinforcement from the sub this may allow your mains to be repositioned as well.  Your mains my now need less room reinforcement ...
SmoothLan Regenerator from Stack Audio
Very interesting and thanks for sharing.  I'll be interested to see what the opinions are on the Regenerator.  I've heard that people with highly resolving systems have had positive results after adding the Network Acoustics Muon Pro Ethernet filt...
Looking for a new DAC
Since you mentioned that you may upgrade your streamer I should share this.  I was auditioning streamers to put upstream of my Holo May DAC.  I narrowed the search to Aurender and Innuos.  They were both excellent in their own ways but what came o...
Standmount speaker suggestion
The B&Ws tend to be lively up top.  But before I you start switching speakers make sure that your room is optimized as much as possible.  If the room is too reflective most speakers will sound a bit bright.
Who has gone fully active? What speakers and preamp did you end up with?
Interesting question.  Not for nothing but if cost was no object I would consider the new Focal Utopia Divas.  You get to top of the range speaker from Focal and Naim electronics.  If you add up all the pieces, it's actually not a bad deal!
Speakers sound too bright.
Please let us know how things are sounding after break in.  You may get some very noticeable improvements.  It will be a question of if it's enough to make you tap your foot!  Good luck and cheers.
Lay sonus faber on the side?
Say it ain't so.  SF may file a grievance against your architect.
Speakers sound too bright.
Since you asked for suggestions..... My suggestion would be to restate your question and include as much information as possible such as:  Room, amplification, source, cabling & power conditioning. If the forum members know what you're deali...
Great video on Phil Collins the drummer
If you want to travel back in time and experience Peter Gabriel led Genesis, Steve Hackett is still touring.
How many times can u visit a hifi store before it annoys the store if u plan on a purchase
+1 @celtic66  You get it.  Cheers
