New Model Rogue Mono's
$4,000. Not bad in this crazy audio world. If Rogue can keep it's prices relatively low, is the rest of the competition that greedy?
How much does your system retail for?
$25,550. Weighted toward analog.
What was your latest LP find??
2 goodies. Donald Fagen's "Nightfly" special Quiex II pressing. Can anyone describe this process? The other, Helen Merrill's 1954 release featuring Clifford Brown. Both $5.

Phonostage question ...
Thanks for the help. I will stick with my present phonostage for a while and hear what's what. I've already started reading up on all your suggestions. Thanks again.
Phonostage question ...
Thanks Kurt. My quandry is how do I know the Rogue will lack something worthy of purchasing something else? Your idea of buying, testing and reselling is a good one but I admit that's a lot of work just to demo. I've done it but it's not my streng...
AAD C800i speakers vs. Axiom M60ti
AAD is a super speaker for the money. I think I owned the 800 (top of the line?). It was the first speaker I purchased to enter the audiophile market.
Arm Differences ...... ,etc.
Viridian - Thanks for the help. But, "Listen and Compare", is not possible where I live so most of my audio choices are accomplished through homework and faith. BTW, if you had 5k retail to spend on an arm and cartridge, what would you get? I've j...
what cartridge recs for Nottingham Spacedeck
I am using a Dynavector Karat cartridge and have been very pleased with it in all regards. I think it is a nice match with a Nottingham and falls in your price range ($750). If I chose to upgrade I think it would be worthwhile to only make a big l...
Mat Material...............
Uh oh. Another opened can of worms.TWL, and others, thanks.By the way, anyone hear the AVID Volvare. My retailer loves it. But with an arm and cart it would be minimum $5500 new. Would it really better a Nottingham Interspace with a Dynavector Kar...
Mat Material...............
So, TWL, do you think a Notttingham Interspace is low end enough to benefit from a mat? I probably think so. Do you think tweaking vibration compromises the use of a mat? I recognize it's a "check it and find out situation." I'm just trying to avo...
Mat Material...............
My isolation is quite good. I'm using a Nottingham Interspace table with Dynavector Karat cartridge, Bright Star Audio Rack of Gibralter, and a homemade sandbox similar to a Big Rock.Do you think a Mystic Mat (I hear it's recommended by Nottingham...
Von Schweikert VR-2's
I am a VSA DB-100 owner. For 6k it is the bargain of the VSA selection. I recognize it is a step up in price but I am shocked I never see it mentioned in Audiogon despite superior reviews. Having a 100db efficient speaker allows so much flexibilit...
Which Tube Integrated? Rogue v. Cary v. ARC
Gthirteen,I'm using RCA 12ax7's and 12au7's and really like them. I heard Tung Sol 6550's we're also really good. I bought two matched pairs and blew out a fuse in 10 seconds and shortly after blew a tube. I did not notice a significant change.Als...
Which Tube Integrated? Rogue v. Cary v. ARC
I have owned the Rogue Tempest Magnum for 7 months. It is matched with Von Schweikert DB100 speakers, a Nottingham Interspace Turntable and a Cary 308 CD player. Straight Wire cableing throughout. I am very happy with the Rogue. No tube hum, but I...
