Are there other Artisan Fidelity TT owners aorund?
Audiofun and Dover.Firstly I will leave it to the growing number of industry leaders who are using my upgrade in their MK2 and Mk3 motors, to attest to the efficacy of my work. These audio manufacturers are using my worked motors as their analogue...

AudiofunRe the Krebs upgradeIt was I who contacted you in a genuine desire to help you realise the full potential of your MK3Indeed, one part of my upgrade is the targeted application of an organic oil. I can assure you, this oil does not harden, ...
Vintage DD turntables. Are we living dangerously?
Lew.You may be onto something with the multi-prong plugs. It is likely that the individual male and female pins are crimped. Over time with dissimilar metals, wire and pin, along with a bit of humidity, electrolysis is possible/probable. I have wi...

Lew.Thought that you may find this amusing. Here on the perimeter of the world we spell gary, grey (Gray even comes up with an auto correct spelling error as I type this) >>>>>>>>Gray vs. greyGray and grey are different spe...
Vintage DD turntables. Are we living dangerously?
HihoI have a customer who has both a worked MK3 and MK2, giving him a unique perspective. In his opinion the performance gap between then is reduced, post upgrade.IMO, it is not in the design architecture, it is in the build. The two motors are fun...

Vintage DD turntables. Are we living dangerously?
HihoI think that the greyness is produced, amongst other things, by errors in the speed sensing mechanism. These are due to the way they are put together which can be corrected. I don't think that "pulse" is the correct term for this phenomenon.IM...

Hiho et el I feel that I need to put my two cents worth in on the subject of cored and cordless motors. Some one has to act as a champion for the Technics line. I should also state that I have a commercial interest in the subject, so feel free to ...

LewBill T advises that electonics of that era be kept powered continuously to improve longevity. From memory it was something to do with the substrate used in IC's of the time.Others have noticed sonic benefits when doing this regardless of the vin...
Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable
Dover. What?read my post again.re LO7D FYI, The mechanical brake acts on the platter itself. With the platter removed, the sub platter raises up and contacts the plastic targets I mentioned. This is the apparently locked bearing that both Lew and I...

I had a look at the trans Fi web site. This is a very nice TT and exceptional value for the modest cost . Knowing a little about machining expenses, I would say that it is an amazing achievement. Very much like the raw design. No unnecessary bling ...
