Small footprint subwoofer Since the SVS 3,000 Micro was the only sub I could find that would fit under my modified, antique buffet stereo cabinet I got one (to go with my corner horns). It improved the sound so much I added another across the room, hard-wired. My room is...
If A.I. took the place of musicians, would you listen to it? Interesting question indeed. Back in the 60’s a group of studio musicians who were eventually referred to as “the wrecking crew” provided the early musical background for The Byrds, The Beach Boys, The Doors (?), and who knows who else. Audience...
Looking for a CD / SACD player. Also, tell me about Esoteric As a fan of BluRay audio discs I'm perplexed as to why that isn't an automatic feature of the Esoteric line-up, or every high-end disc player. I have only a stereo so the ATMOS and 5.1 audio options on the discs aren't of interest to me. My (di...
Recommendations for really well-recorded music for high-end audio system demo IMO, Blu-Ray Audio discs are the best way to show off your your audio system; hi-def streaming is another way. If you can afford the $$$ box sets that hold hostage the blu-ray discs, you won't be disappointed. Sargent Pepper and Who's Next are bu...

Favorite moment with music in your car. @allenf1963 +1 Your VW van story was great. I had a used ‘62 VW camper van that was electrically 6 volts, so I had to buy a 6V to 12V converter which bolted under the dash and powered my Tena 8 track tape player. With four people in it, going u...
Favorite moment with music in your car. One evening, high school ‘70, and the 5/8” thick homemade plywood boxes with 5” round speakers in my VW bug’s backseat well (dampened with plexiglass lathe shavings) somehow harmonically synced to ELP’s “Lucky Man” and the whole car seemed to shak...
OPpo 205.... Awesome !! No TV is involved, however, I do have an 8" Eyoyo lcd monitor attached so I can navigate the DVD and BluRay disc menus.... I have no surround sound...stereo only. When listening I almost always use the "Pure Audio" feature because (to me) the SQ ...
OPpo 205.... Awesome !! It has a repeat function, but that would play the whole cd over and over. This is sporadic….goes for days with no issue and then I notice I’ve listened to the same song for the 3rd time…
OPpo 205.... Awesome !! I’m happy with my Modwright oppo 205 but, weirdly enough, sometimes it starts repeating a track (track 5 or 7) and I can’t figure out how to fix it. Very annoying. Rebooting it doesn’t work. Anyone have any ideas of how to fix it?

I don't get it...Exile on main Street-Blue +1 tablejockey Mick Taylor Rolling Stone initially sorta panned exile….3 and a half stars maybe. Then….they saw it for its shredded brilliance and rated it the best of the best at least a few times. To really appreciate exile please put your p...
