Jolida 502A - Other owners, what speakers?
Thanks for the kind words Cleaneduphippy. I have several customers running the Jolida / Usher combination with most combinations using the Usher 718 or 719. This is an exceptional match according to the feedback. A few are running with the Usher 6...
Usher Model Question
I am no longer an Usher dealer so have nothing at all to gain with posting on this thread but I can shed some light. The new stand mount BE-718 speaker is the brainchild if Joseph D' Appolito. It was based on the 718 model which was one of my fav...
One speaker is louder than the other
"...I think I have found the problem. the surrounds on both speakers are cracking and is worse on the right side. Plan to get them repaired this week....." That will do it. Let us know what happens after the repair.
One speaker is louder than the other
Not knowing your setup, have to tried disconnecting the sub from the system. You would have to disconnect the cables from the preamp/integrated rather than simply turning the sub off. You didn't mention if the sub was in use with your previous arr...
Jolida 302-b Amp
Hello Bookerhm, If you purchased a new amp, you can contact Jolida and/or your dealer. Jolida is very good about standing behind their product. If it was a used unit, even a new piece, could have been rough handled during shipping. Some simple que...
Transparency: What speakers have it in spades?
I agree that audio terms are very subjective with no two people having the same interpretation. In general, you have to read between the lines when people are describing their experiences with speakers or any audio product for that matter.Bill B
Mundorf silver and oil or VH OIMP for crossover?
Hello Gnugear, I have done countless speaker upgrades and one option you can consider is using the VH Audio OIMP for the main value and then bypassing with a smaller value Teflon capacitors.
How high do subs go
Sounds like you are trying to integrate with some satellites? As Kr4 mentioned most true subwoofers are designed to operate within frequencies no higher than 80 Hz. There are many subwoofers that will have a range to 150Hz - 200Hz that are designe...
Usher Horn D-2
Hello, I have sold the Usher D2 Horn Speakers. They are quite impressive and did go through some serious gear with them while they were here.Bill
Acoustic Zen Adagio, How Good Are They?
Hello 2100. I have used various lower power tube amps with teh Adagio speakers and like ant similar combination, start to see some compression if trying to push too hard. The Adagio's are a very good load for tube amps and this is why many people ...
Acoustic Zen Adagio, How Good Are They?
2100, Am I to understand that you are also using the Almarro with another speaker? Say of a 93dB? I too found that the Almarro changed in a good way when upgrading the caps. Even the little 205A showed a beneficial change (in my opinion) when chan...
Acoustic Zen Adagio, How Good Are They?
Hi 2100, The 6C33 amps I am currently running were a bit on the warmer side in their original form. They are discontinued ASL KMP60 Fox mono blocs but I am now having the chassis OEM'ed for my by Joseph Lou of ASL. They are now being built in-hous...
6ohm speakers to 8ohm amp?
Hi Lilavine, I would recommend trying both and see what sounds best. I have found that most 6 ohm rated speakers sound their best on the 8 ohm tap but there really is no rule of thumb here. Experiment and decide for yourself. Bill
Acoustic Zen Adagio, How Good Are They?
Kmillette.. I can imagine just how emotionally involving the Art Audio is with the Adagio speakers. I have run 8 watt 300Bs with these speakers and..........well, you already know. Maybe a push-pull 2A3 or 300B will give you the control you need w...
Acoustic Zen Adagio, How Good Are They?
Hi Tomcy6, I cannot comment on the comparison between the Adagios and Tylers but can comment a bit on the tweeter dispersion. The Adagio uses a unique, exclusive circular ribbon tweeter so it mantains exceptional horizontal and vertical dispersion...
