Acoustic Zen Adagio, How Good Are They? The subwoofer has been out for a while but not a lot of information has been released. I don't know if this post will past the moderators but if it does, you can see the sub and details at www.responseaudio.com. Robert really needs to get speaker ...
antique sound 1009 On the subject of the ASL gear, I can understand the comments about the bias drift on earlier models but have not had this issue on piece current with the last 2 or 3 years. I have a pair of the horizontal 1009's (before the Cadenza design) and th...
antique sound 1009 The Antique SOund Lab 1009 (Now the Cadenza) is a very nice amplifier but there is truly no accurate answer to your question. There are a LOT of options in the $10K range. You might consider narrowing down your inquiry. Power? SET? Mono blocs? ETC...
Acoustic Zen Adagio, How Good Are They? No. The mid/bass drivers are custom made (not in China) and the tweeter is custom assembled by hand in CA by Robert Lee himself. Every speaker is assembled and tested in CA. Robert Lee actually listens to each individual pair in a system before th...
The under 10K speaker Hi Desalvo, Under $10k leaves a lot of options. Many of the options you mentioned are exceptional. Being a dealer for the Usher and the Adagio, I can only recommend you audition them. You won't be sorry. I was also a dealer for the Daedalus DA-1 ...
Preamp to pair with Manley Snappers? Bbybaudio, the Manley preamps are exceptional pieces and I would also recommend auditioning them before moving away from the line. Even the $1800 Shrimp sounds better than it has any right to at it's price point. Sweet presenation with excellent l...
Has any one heard Magico Speakers? Wslam, I can say I am interested and intrigued by the Magico speakers. Maybe I can make some type of arrangements to audition the Mini's. Who knows, maybe they will be part of my line-up someday in the not too distant future.
Do Audiophiles blow speakers? In my early days I have taken out a few tweeters in some Polk SDA speakers. I can only take partial blame as it was common in the 1980's Monitor line of Polk speakers. Then again, the 80's were part of my party days. I have not blown a speaker sin...
Has any one heard Magico Speakers? Wslam: I agree that $20k is not out of reach for everyone and would not classify any high end audio product as obscene. I may be picking up another "stand mount" line discussed here in the speaker forum that is also near the $20k price point. As I...
Has any one heard Magico Speakers? I am curious if there are any dealers in Upstate New York (Binghamton area)?. Being a dealer myself, I have been intrigued by the Magico products and very interested in hearing them. Being a small dealer, they are probably out of price point as we...
Speakers to hang on to for LIFE For the past 11 years, I have been listening to a pair of speakers I designed to be released as my statement loudspeaker product. They are a 5 driver, full range design using all VIFA products and standing 5 feet tall. I played with the prototype ...
Usher X719 and tubes I have to disagree with Nick72 on this one. I have been an Usher dealer for several years and also deal primarily with tube amplification. Some of my happiest X-719 customers are driving these speakers with tube amps of 22 watts to 70 watts. I hav...
Acoustic Zen Adagio, How Good Are They? For those in the Upstate NY area, you are more than welcome to come into Response Audio as well to audition the Adagio speakers. I will not post my thoughts on these speakers. Being a dealer for them, I realize most will consider my opinion to be ...
Chinese Speaker Prices depending on what model you are interested in, you may save a few bucks but not get any type of warranty. Speakers sold in the US come with a full 3 year warranty. Bill
speaker break in volume level My recommendations are to break-in the speakers as you are going to listen to them. Higher volume levels with dynamic music will help loosen up the surrounds much quicker. I go with whatever my ears can handle. |
