A vote for amber LED lights on components over blue lights.
@noble100 always appreciate the dismissiveness, and self-righteous condescension you bring to my threads.  I have to admit, the constructive suggestions and camaraderie from others were getting tiresomely wholesome.  Can you move in next door to m...
Music streamers
Hifiberry Digi+  Raspberry Pi is cheaper than Allo, less than $200 for everything.  Sound is amazing via coax or optical. Built in WiFi sucks, but hardwired works great. I’m no programmer and was easily able to set it up.  Roon endpoint too!
Why do some think "music" (not gear, trading, etc.) is the ultimate end?
Well, you can personalize your system to your own taste and style, but you can’t personalize the music.  Something to be said for creating a personal system being a most fun and rewarding pursuit.  Enjoyment from the gear is different than from th...
Looking for powered bookshelf/monitor speakers $1000 or less, used is ok. Any recs?
Thanks guys!  I sent my friend info about the klipsch and also KEF LS50w (the latter a little out of his budget).  Keep any other suggestions coming.  I'm realizing that built-in DAC will be very helpful -- friend isn't too keen on having to buy o...
High end Class D amps?
Glad someone mentioned Devialet. Quite a package with crystal clear audiophile sound.  I ended up with pass xa30.8 to take things up a notch slightly, especially since my speakers will never have custom matching from devialet, but very impressive ...
"New device puts music in your head — no headphones required"
I don’t see why this wouldn’t make some hifi equipment obsolete someday soon.
Looking for more detail in a speaker
The forte iiis have a ton of detail! I couldn't get them to work right in my space (much smaller than yours), but they are dynamic and detailed and can be driven with 1 wpc. As my first high end speaker, they were a revelation. Finicky as hell to ...
Looking for more detail in a speaker
Surprised it hasn’t been mentioned here, but cleanliness of power is key to detail retrieval in my experience.  Good conditioners, fuses, cords, outlets, and various noise reducing tweaks might be what you should focus on.  Everything matters.
Is 1990's equipment vintage?
Consensus from an audiogon thread on a real-ish topic?  No.  Muddying the waters even further with needless tangents?  Sure.
The secret to a great amplifier...
OK, let's all at least put this thread out of its misery and move on. Definitely not fun anymore...
The secret to a great amplifier...
I feel like I walked into a QAnon subreddit black hole. Harmless, but very weird and a little creepy. "Anti-fusers," the new audio anti-vaxxers!

Are you suggesting they are selling fuses that don't perform this basic function?
A revealing speaker
Very cool to read these reviews of a very appealing-sounding speaker.  I'm assuming they are single-driver?Also a very classy thread overall -- no sniping, no smugness.
Are cable recommendations worth anything?
@audio2design - you've really burst onto the scene here with gusto, huh? since you know everything, are you participating in these threads for the pure joy of smug lectures and dismissive takedowns?  do you think that by rudely 'setting everyone s...
