seeking ‘HORN’ ideas apart from Klipshc Lascalla
Klipsch products IMO are way overpriced but I figure you are paying for nice furniture, you know, to go next to the Harley in the studio ;-)Crites is a superior alternative. Does anyone know if these have 4 posts for biamping?Superstoke, are you s...

Pinwa,Thanks for posting.Curious. Did you mention what amp you are using?
What does 'cold' mean? What does 'warm' mean?
"Warm is used by a salesman to encourage you to buy their product. "Cold" is used to criticize a product. A salesman may use this to discourage you from this item.Another descriptor with a positive connotation that I like is "meat on the bones".
Message from the Past: We were never against tone controls
Generally anything between the source and the amplifier will suck the life out of the music. But if you have a thirst for a certain frequency( usually bass?), then have at it :-).
Room correction, DSP for dummies.
Just like the title of this thread. A good one and should be a sticky :-)Is there a product out there yet that is idiot proof or doesn't require a separate highly variable computer interphase or doesn't require downloading software?IOW, something ...

Alternatives to Brick and Mortar
Thanks Verdant  Audio,Very interesting thread. Regrettably, I have another mundane question:So, if Amazon offers an item from a third party seller, then what address/state is used to calculate sales tax? Purchaser or seller's. And it almost sounde...
Schiit freya preamp - any owners out there? Leave it on?
The switch in back is inconvenient. That said I love my Freya +. Best Buy’s IMO like Teton DI and Oppo 205.;I sit it in front of my stack and always power down when done. Never leave anything on as heat accelerates aging no matter what the compone...

REVEL performa3 f208 or TEKTON Moab
Tekton DI for years now and still very happy. Best purchase, along with oppo 205, I've made.Consider the size and weight of MOAB. Revel looks prettier and has smaller footprint.
Will a tube amp work well on Revel f208?
Agree/+1 with Glow and ErikIt will work and you may find it sounds satisfactory. But SS would probably be a better choice.Impedance Matters.org
BlueSound Stinks(!), anyone?
Disagree. When it works. It doesn't stink. It actually sounds quite good.Although, i do think they need to make their own remote device. I also have problems with bluetooth connectivity every time I start it up. Again it alk comes down to problems ...
Speakers good for close to wall placement
Cincy,Just happened to be looking at these. Steve Guttenberg, the aged hippie, really likes these: Ohm Walsh They are meant to be close to walls as they are intended to utilize this reflection. They also have the smallest footprint I know.
Are the new Ohm Walsh speakers Audiophile quality?
You can understand from this review:https://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/why OW never went back to them. Almost the entire review is spent on troubleshooting problems. I can also only assume that no JA measurements published means they we...
