Purepower 2000+ and 3000+ actual availability??? I would buy it if I did not already have a PP2000 model. If the PP2000+ makes as much improvement to your system as the 2000 did in mine, I would look into the analog system grounding. I would not want to be without my PurePower.
Music Server/DAC in Same Box Dennis,I have the Boulder 1021. All it needs is a NAS drive (about $100), a wireless router, and an IPAD, Iphone, etc running the PlugPlayer app. The NAS, router, and 1021 are connected by ethernet cables which is a much better method than usb. I ...
Music Server/DAC in Same Box The Boulder 1021. All you need is a NAS, router, and IPAD. It is a very advanced ethernet system with up to 32 bit sampling. Sounds absolutely fantastic. Very expensive though.
Purepower 2000+ and 3000+ actual availability??? You might try one of the cheater plugs with the ground wire and attach the ground wire to the PP chassis screws. The PP is such a great piece, it would be a shame to not be able to get around this. Hope this helps.
Purepower 2000+ and 3000+ actual availability??? I have used a PP 2000 for 3-4 years. It is a vital part of my audio system. My system is just not as good without it. It is much better than the Hydra. I use a Verastarr Grand Illusion HC which was superior to a Shunyata Python CX. Anyone compared...
Review: Boulder 1060 Amplifier Melbguy1,Let me preface my comments about the Boulder 1021 by stating that my previous player was an Ayon CD-2. I also tried it direct into the amp, but it was not even close to the sound with the 1010 in the system. It has been a while, but as I ...
Review: Boulder 1060 Amplifier That is an interesting question which I posed to one of the largest dealers in the US. They not only carry Boulder, but a huge array of of extreme high end tube and SS equipment. Their feeling is that the 1010 is one of the very best in the world ...
Review: Boulder 1060 Amplifier Melbguy1,You have absolutely nailed it in your review and followup comments on the Boulder 1060. I will add that I use the 1010 preamp with it. It is a superb, quiet, detailed, highly musical, but nonfatiguing sound. I owned the Ayre MXR and KXR co...
Question for Pure Power 1050 users I have a PurePower 2000. The power cord before and after it makes a very significant difference. For instance, I replaced a Shunyata Python with a Verastarr Grand Illusion V2 connecting my cd player to the PP 2000. The GI cord allowed a deeper sou...
Cable elevators - conventional wisdom wrong? Tbg,I live in a very dry environment with very high levels of static electricity. Perhaps getting the SC's off the carpet makes the difference. I do not know if those who thought the DFE's hurt the sound had them under more than the SC's. Any of t...
Cable elevators - conventional wisdom wrong? Because of this thread, I decided to try my system without the Shunyata Dark Field Elevators which are only under my speaker cables. If my findings are the same as Dave b and some others, I could sell them and recover some money. I had a dealer he...
Ayre amplifier to Subwoofer connections Drubin,I have Ayre MXR's and a Rel Studio. I was instructed by Ayre to connect the red wire (positive) from the Rel to one amp's positive and the yellow wire(positive) from the Rel to the other amp's positive terinal. The black wire from the rel (...
