Can a Bluesound Node 2i power supply really be upgraded? @wjob Did you pair it with a good LPS? It scales with better power...-Alex
Can a Bluesound Node 2i power supply really be upgraded? @adg101 I've done the comparison with a $10k streamer (I won't say the brand but PM me if you'd like to know). Still preferred the PSU upgraded BS and used to $$ for home improvement projects.-Alex
Can a Bluesound Node 2i power supply really be upgraded? Yes I have the Polish one and it's a great upgrade. I'm only using it as a streamer and pair it with a good LPS. Easy to install and best bang for the buck upgrade in my system. No question.-Alex
Any recommendations for aftermarket C-7 power cord for Bluesound Node 2i @vinylshadow I don't have any experience with the other PSU so can't comment but I'm very happy with Pawel's board. I actually have a lot more invested with my Mojo Illuminati LPS costing more than all those products combined. Also, Ethernet is yo...
Any recommendations for aftermarket C-7 power cord for Bluesound Node 2i @big_greg @vinylshadow There are two main weaknesses of the Bluesound when used strictly as a streamer which is noise and jitter. The PSU fixes the noise part and iFi SPDIF Purifier 2 fixes the jitter. I'm partial to R2R DACs so not interested in ...
Any recommendations for aftermarket C-7 power cord for Bluesound Node 2i @vinylshadow Find a dealer that carries Lumin or any other high-end streamers to demo. You will find out if the difference is worth it compared to the upgraded Bluesound. @big_greg Unless you had a chance to try the upgraded PSU board you might be...
Any recommendations for aftermarket C-7 power cord for Bluesound Node 2i @vinylshadow The Eero has Ethernet plugs on the back. As far as the iFi SPDIF Purifier 2 you can also use it with an LPS which is what I am doing. I’m currently using a Mojo Illuminati but it’s a pricey power supply. I’m sure the less expensive on...
Any recommendations for aftermarket C-7 power cord for Bluesound Node 2i @vinylshadow Wired Ethernet connection made a massive difference for me. I use the Amazon Eero mesh system so placement is a breeze as you’ll just need an open outlet near and then you can run a Ethernet cable to the Node 2i. Ethernet cables make ...
Any recommendations for aftermarket C-7 power cord for Bluesound Node 2i @vinylshadow I've used a few different LPS. Tried the Uptone LPS 1.2, Paul Haynes SRT4, and Mojo Illuminati. They are all fantastic and didn't notice a huge difference TBH. I have my best PC's on my DAC, Amp and Conditioner so unfortunately the LP...
Any recommendations for aftermarket C-7 power cord for Bluesound Node 2i @vinylshadow Yes it is worth while especially paired with a good LPS. Much more refined sound and lower noise floor. I bought the one from Poland on eBay.-Alex
Power Conditioners +1 Inakustik AC-3500P
Puritan PSM156 @twoleftears I had both in my system and kept the Inakustik. I didn’t hear much of a SQ difference between the two conditioners but the Puritan was nosier (transformer buzz) at times. That was ultimately the deciding factor for me. -Alex
Streaming Sound Quality - Want the very best sound quality? Network Acoustics ENO... +1 for the ENO Ag. I added the matching Ag cable which is the best I've ethernet cable I've had in my system as well. Great product and allowed me to sell my EtherRegen which was giving me dropout issues. I now paired with a Gigafoil V4 no longer ...
Do different streamers really sound different when using an external DAC @mattshere PSU upgrade and also iFi SPDIF iPurifier 2 all powered with good linear power supplies. Add the Gutwire Ultimate Grounding cable on the RCA port and then it's maxed out. You'll be surprised how much more you get out of the Bluesound.-Alex
