Audio Technica lp120 If you have $300 to spend, it is worth it. Decent build and sound. I liked it more than a Project Carbon Debut. Benefits from a better cartridge and change in mat. Rich

Buzz from the left channel of a Rega Brio Sounds like it is an issue with the Brio. Granted it is a little crowded in the back of the integrated, but you should not be getting a buzz. I have been using a Brio R for almost 3 years now without any buzz, so it is not a design flaw.Rich
Sony CDP XA2ES is good ? The Sony CDP XA1ES was well reviewed by Stereophile. I owned the XA1ES for awhile and while it sounded good, I always had trouble with the disc loading mechanism and just gave up on the player. And yes, I know you asked about the XA2ES.Keep in min...

$700 Used TT Upgrade Advice, Is it Worth It For Me? You will encounter a fair amount of grief for using one of the OEM Direct Drive DJ turntables. The turntables are primarily sourced from a Far East manufacturer, Hanpin. I was using a Stanton ST 150 turntable for the last few years and if you refe...

Is My Onkyo Receiver's Tuner Dead or Just Playing Posum? OK. Without knowing what type of antenna that you have, get a cheap pair of rabbit ears antenna and connect it to the receiver. You may need to get a connector ... UHF VHF FM 75-300 Ohm TV Antenna Adapter Matching Transformer (cost about $2). ...

What was the first system you heard that made you think the high end made sense Churchill Audio in NYC around 1977. I had been using a SONY HP-161 all in one turntable/ radio compact. I walked in to buy a pair of Pioneer headphones and the salesman plugged them in to a top of the line Technics FM receiver and the song playi...
Difference between Rega and NAD sound I can talk about the house sound of the two having owned a NAD 320BEE and a Rega Brio R if that is of any help. Sound wise I find the Rega a bit fuller and more fleshed out. The Rega sound is very detailed, I can really hear into the music. The...
