| Name brands that are not so well known are skipped I agree! All of my tube based stereo is made up of lesser known brands. Your not paying for the name, so I think you can get better sound for less money.The only drawback is you don't have bragging rights. | |

| How would you run an audio salon? The in home idea is a good one. Back in the late 70's we had a guy here in Las Vegas that set up a system in his home and sold by word of mouth. I can't remember all the components but the Sequarra Pyramid speaker system still stands out in my mind. | |

| Impedance question Its OK to use 4 ohm speakers as long as you use the 4 ohm taps on your amp. But in my opinion you should be looking at speakers with a little higher sensitivity, something like 90db 1watt@1meter or higher. Every 3db up is almost like doubling amp ... |
