I can’t hear the Difference in the change the low pass filter or the volume on my SVS subs I'm not sure if my positioning is unique or not but I'll describe it: I'm set up in my living room. My couch and love seat are in an 'L' configuration and the couch is the focal point. An end table sits between the couch and the love seat. I h...
I can’t hear the Difference in the change the low pass filter or the volume on my SVS subs I only have one sub, SB-2000 Pro, and I keep the volume up as high as it will go, 0db. I can clearly hear a difference on the low pass filter, especially between 40Hz to 60Hz. I leave it around 50Hz and it fills in nicely. You can adjust the fi...
svs sb 2000 pro review I added one of these to my chain earlier this year and I'm just amazed how well it fills the lower end of the sound stage. I use it to supplement my Celestion Ditton 66 Studio Monitors driven by a McIntosh MC500. My rig is in my living room and ...
A question about headphones Thanks for the tips marco1. I have two pair of extra tubes that came with the amp, different makes. I think the previous owner was doing exactly what you suggested. :-)
A question about headphones @soix don't forget Donald Rumsfeld: “There are known knowns — there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns — that is to say, we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones w...
A question about headphones I tried plugging my headphones directly into the 1/4" plug on the front of my C48 preamp and it sounded terrible - at least as far as hi-fi is concerned. There was no comparison connecting the line out on the preamp to the line in on the headphon...
A question about headphones UPDATE: I just wanted to give all of you that took an interest in my project an update. I purchased a 'new to me' Shitt LYR 2 headphone amp and a pair of Hifiman HE-R9 cans. To sum it up, I couldn't be happier for a first time setup and came in...
A question about headphones Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions
A question about headphones I like rich base. Do open-back designs lack this? I have heard 'bright' and a lack of base. Thanks.
A question about headphones A couple of things come to mind. First, I only plan to use these in my music room so why would I want noise-cancelling? It seems the money spent on that feature could be better served elsewhere. My preamp has two sets of outputs, RCA 1 / XLR an...
A question about headphones My BT transmitter is something cheap off of Amazon. It fits the 1/4" plug on my preamp through an adaptor. There must be something better out there? I have a DAC and a Matrix DCC. Thanks . The B&W lineup looks nice but it seems BT only...
Aurender I own an N100H 4TB and it has worked flawlessly for me. The N100H is USB only. I have a PS Audio DirectStream Sr. DAC which requires an i2s connection to play anything larger than DSD128. I put a Matrix X-SPDIF 2 DDC in my chain so now I can pl...
PS Audio Perfect Wave Dac I wish mine had been that easy at the time 😣
PS Audio Perfect Wave Dac On my DS Sr. I used to have my Aurender (N100H) music server connected via USB. When I went to connect another device by coax it would not lock with the DAC because the DAC was still locked to the USB. The USB does not disconnect automatically and...
Static IP for Aurender N100H music server? Sorry cleeds, just a different way of saying the same thing. Yes, DHCP reservation is the same as static IP. I am trying to avoid having to shut my Aurender down so put it on a good quality 'server grade' Tripp-Lite UPS. By the looks of it last... |
