I agree with koestner. One thing for sure is no one has an identical system, or identical listening environment.  Not identical media.  This alone makes the hobby so unique to each individual!!

In my humble opinion I would keep the hook up all the same type.  If not, you have to purchase very special and expensive interconnects that have the two different types of hookups.  Stay with RCA to RCA.  Lou

I hear you!  Just last year we purchased our 2nd Temperpedic mattress.  Called the Cloud.  Cost me $4k...for a bed..  not including the foundation!  I don't believe it's worth it but the wifey is happy....

Tubed preamps and Power amps- How old is too old???
I also have a Premier 17 ls in my system.  It has performed flawlessly for over 20 years.  I've re-tubed it 3-4 times.  I have absolutely no intentions of replacing it.  I also run a C-J amp, all tube.  Wonderful equipment!
