What time do you wear? There are plenty of audiophiles however for whom the only luxury in life worth having is audio equipment and little else - that too is a contingent of the "community".
Prefered Amplifiers to run with Harbeth M40.1 Your view of the Harbeth sound seems to be in the minority, but not sure that matters or proves anything either way. I did not add IMO, because I think that is the view of most folks that have heard Harbeth, overwhelmingly one can find the words "...
What time do you wear? Well said!
Prefered Amplifiers to run with Harbeth M40.1 A "better term" would be musical, beautiful, and engaging. I do agree that Jadis would not be my choice for this speaker, would match better with something like Dynaudio - but that is another thread. The Pass would certainly work very well, though...

Which speakers... B&W 802D or Vandersteen 5A's? And if it were a close call, I'd buy the one made in the U.S.A.
Pass Labs:What to expect fm XA60.5 to XA100.5 Sounds like there may be no sonic price to be paid as you move up the Pass like, just the cash price (when you need the power).
Which speakers... B&W 802D or Vandersteen 5A's? Audiofeil is right, and having done what he recommends I perfer the Vandersteen 5As - a great value IMHO, and don't underestimate the flexibility bass tuning offers. |
