Sounds expensive :)
Boenicke
@boenicke_audioI'm curious:  Will Boenicke produce speakers in custom wood finishes? Thanks.
A brief review of 15 high-end speakers on home demo including B&W, Boenicke, Magico,Wilson
Fantastic report!  Thank you very much duckworp.  I love threads like this!  (Which is why I did one too). What a spectacular list of speakers.I felt the Magico A3s that I auditioned were ultimately a bit fatiguing to listen to over time, so it's n...
How good is your hearing ? And how do you know ?
inna wrote:Michael, languages are untranslatable. Wow that’s ridiculous. Just a flat out erroneous claim. If the language is digital you must not convert it into analog, you must take it as it is. This is for machines not humans, as we are now.Says...
Best Loudspeakers for Rich Timbre?
cd318,Interesting list. The main problem I see is the subjectivity involved.   If we surveyed everyone here we'd see a huge variety of speakers being used, and I doubt many people would say "My speakers don't do instrumental timbre well."  In other...

Ah, so now the reason for the weird OP comes out.   It was just an excuse for Inna to make a personal (and ridiculous) rant against digital sources.  Maybe try a less misleading thread the next time?
How good is your hearing ? And how do you know ?
cleeds,Exactly.  A thread asking “how good is your hearing?” is certainly a reasonable topic for a thread.  But the OP makes it clear the thread actually wasn’t started with good intentions, but is rather an occasion for inna to insult the hearing...

This is sounding like yet another “baiting” thread. Maybe this forum section should be renamed :-)inna could you you be more specific please? I think helomech has interpreted your OP as dissing people who think they have “golden ears” where I inte...
Wilson Audio Sabrina . . . I'm smitten. Should I consider others?
Great stuff.  What a list of speakers!Your quest sounds like my quest that I've written about in my own thread.   I sometimes go through obsessively exhaustive searches when I'm going to replace a pair of speakers. Looking forward to hearing about...
Best Loudspeakers for Rich Timbre?
twoleftears,Agreed. That quality of differentiating timbre as you describe it is something I really value in a speaker.I think mono recordings can really be a test of timbre differentiation in that regard, because in a mono recording, say of a jazz...
Anyone Else Here In To LIBRARY/PRODUCTION MUSIC?
Yes ghosthouse, the spirit of your reply was obvious.   Glad I could help introducing some more nuttiness in to your music search.nicotico,I have liquid sunshine (only available on CD I believe), though haven't bought Time To Fly...yet.  I'm more ...

Thanks ghosthouse.I feel....better?

Looks like I'm alone in my looniness.  :(
Best Loudspeakers for Rich Timbre?
twoleftears,It makes total sense to point out the liabilities of any design choice, of course.   The proof is always how a designer manages those liabilities and to what degree the listener perceives the pluses and minuses of the results.
Best Loudspeakers for Rich Timbre?
Total agreement. 6 inch woofer is simply too big for the mid range. B&W and countless other speakers never sound completely natural for this very reason. To sound natural a speaker must have wide consistent dispersion across the full frequency...
