Need advice on CJ preamps I have owned a premier 14 for about 10 years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I use mullard and hitachi NOS tubes - mix and match.Don't know what amp you use unless I missed it above, CJ preamps typically have a high output impedance which might re...
Harmonic Technology Interconnects Complete clarity without any fatigue was immediately noticeable, everything just snapped into place right out of the box. They just seem to get out of the way and let the music flow. The tonality to me sounds more like real instruments. I play aro...
Harmonic Technology Interconnects He doesn't really have levels of quality, check out his website and reviews online, his concept is very interesting. He will want to do a system consult before he recommends how he constructs your wire.I initially used 1 IC between my preamp and a...
Harmonic Technology Interconnects Headshrinker - late to the thread but I fully agree with Rockdanny about Wywires. They replaced Harmonic Tech magic link II in my system. I use 2 sets and they do everything Rockdanny said. The HT's are very good in their own right, if I had to us...
Have you treated your listening space? I do treat my room....to great music.
As 3D & immediate as 8TC but with more bass Kimber 8TC is more cable for the money than anything out there. It is one of the most neutral cables I have ever tried. I own and have owned more than 2 dozen cables in all price ranges and the 2 most neutral, true to my components are 8TC and Ste...
Terrible/Inappopriate songs ... Right Bill, "Our House" may be impossible to beat - it is brutal, Indian Girl on Stones "Emotional Rescue" always gets the mute button for me.
Is it worth upgrading fr McIntosh MC402 to MC501? The 501's are special but not a significant step up sonically or financially - especially since you already have the 402. I auditioned both extensively before I purchased the 501's and they were both excellent, I was leaning towards mono's and tha...
MIT 330 shotguns, how do they compare to the newer I have always been a fan of 330 SG and still use them on occasion. I also have 350 ref and 350 SG EVO and used them for years. They are more revealing and a lot more transparent with more air than 330 SG. However, I like the 330's because they hav...
Clarence Clemons - RIP Lindisfarne simply look in the mirror and the need for Webster's definition of "dewsh" will become unnecessary.
Analysis Plus cables I also like their Oval 9 and have tried their Blue Oval - don't know if they still make it but it is the CL 3 rated cable that can be used behind walls. It was almost as good as the Oval 9. Great values!
Best bourbon? Jim Beam is introducing a bourbon called Devil's Cut - it is a play on the "Angels Share" which is the roughly 30% that evaporates while aging in the barrel. There is bourbon left in the wood after dumping, Beam has found a way to extract that and...
Can bad LPs damage good cartridges? I have never had a problem and have had to muscle through some damage to hear my favorite music more than once.
