What do you think of my 25 laws of audio
Don't think the set people are going to like this.
Are Dual turntables any good?
Thanks to both of you for the info.Which country is Dual from (back then)? My gf's parents had one and they are from Germany. Just curious. If it's one of these models and I can talk the guy into a better deal then I'll pick it up. Need one for the...
Tyler House Sound
Plinko here. Using the Taylo Refs with a 40 Watt tube Primaluna Prologue II while listening mostly to analog. I'd say 60% rock, 20% jazz, and 20% classical.Soundstaging is very very good. No, it's better than very good. Very solid, versatile speak...
The Mechanics of WAF
It's all about managing expectations.
Vinyl's Noise Floor
Software? I recently purchased a boatload of Columbia Miles Davis reissues. They sound fantastic. Quiet. Same for the boatload of Herbie Hancock reissues. Same for most of the indie/alternative rock I buy. Regardless, the sound of vinyl is more im...

Rega P25 question
Yeah, I read that about the Shelter. For what it's worth, I have a P5 with a Dynavector 20XH and it sounds great. Very well balanced. I am tempted between trying a low MC once I upgrade my phonostage or spending the cheese on some tweaks - vibratio...

P75 seems more sophisticated than Black Cube
Hey thanks particapants for all the help. I'm probably going to go the Dynavector route. I hadn't even considered Musical Surroundings so that is still something to think about.

I have a project phono box now but looking for improvement. I like it though. I think I'm looking for a one box solution and MC ability in the future.Anyone try both the Black Cube SE and the Dynavector?
What to expect?
$2 to $5 used lps is pretty sweet. The selection is so much better than used cds. You should have a blast.
Speaker placement: On the rug OK?
I preferred my speakers on the rug when I had floorstanders. Now I have monitors with stands and I continue to prefer them on the rug. Sub is the wood floor though. All are using spikes.
I'm looking for thoughts on the Tyler Acoustics...
Exactly Gsselling. I think I'm finally hearing more of my tubes warming up, which, is a compliment to the speakers.
Going from Project Phono to DV P75 or Gram Slee
Well, I guess what I am saying is that, being a vinyl newbie, it's hard for me to imagine a big improvement because I've discovered how good vinyl can sound. (I went from a Radioshack table to my current table)

Tpsonic, have you had a lower grade preamp than the P75 and if so, what was the improvement?
