Anybody watch Steve Huff audio on the Tube?
Hmmm, thought I was pretty clear.  Sorry if I wasn't.   I enjoyed some of his audio based content on his audio review channel.  His paranormal channel is complete rubbish.  A total charlatan.
Yep much to do about nothing. Fear brains.
Just checked back into this thread to see if jerryg123 ever surfaced again (the only reason I checked back in on this thread!).  Hope jerry is recovering!
Any Decemberists fans out there?
@falconquest +1 for Decemberists.  I found The Crane Wife a couple of years ago and it is still in occasional rotation.  I enjoy the several nods to classic bands like Zeppelin, Steely Dan, etc. I recently bought a couple other CDs of theirs and n...
Axpona 2022
@kingbarbuda  Nice score!  I was hoping to get back on Sunday and see what kind of deals were around but just couldn't make it happen.  Do you mind telling us what kind of end-of-show discount you managed?  Or, maybe I don't want to know!
Axpona 2022
Had a great time on Friday.  Unfortunately, had to rush through in only 5 hrs - bummer.  Had a 2 day ticket but just couldn't make it back.  Missed quite a bit.  One of my favs was the AGD room with the Ocean wave stand mounts - really impressive ...

I want to move from Rega Planar 6 help me to pick a new turntable
I have the P6 with Exact cart so very interested to see where this thread goes!  I have no plans to upgrade the table but possibly the cart and definitely the pre.  I am currently enjoying the very inexpensive Graham Slee SE 2.  Sounds good, but I...
Tonality of Jay's Transport?
@jaymark  Post of the week.  Very well said IMO!
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Billy Cobham / Total Eclipse Kinda noisy but still great
Axpona
@woots  IIRC the Chicagoland dealers present in 2019 were Saturday Audio, Holm, Music Direct, Quintessence.  They had a variety of stuff on display.  Just took a look at the 2022 exhibitor list and it looks like the same are there this year.  The...
Axpona
Two years ago was my first Axpona (first audio show ever actually).  Was lucky enough to go early on the first day so it wasn't that crowded.  I had a great time.  Was able to check out so many new products.  Really couldn't believe how many compa...
Looks like PS Audio has a hit on their hands with the new speaker
Heard their first (?) iteration at the last Axpona and thought they sounded pretty darn good.  The usual caveats about show sound apply.  Watched the two setup videos and the second one sounded great with my headphones on.  Again, the usual caveat...
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Iron Maiden / Number of the Beast What can I say, it's been a metal Friday! ELP / works Vol 1 Interesting album, not very proggy so far.  I can say pretty confidently that Greg Lake knew what good sound was.
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Genesis / In the Beginning 1977 London re-release of their first album.  First time hearing the whole thing, pretty cool.  Looks like it was never played, almost flawless.  Looks better than some of the new vinyl I've purchased!   Sounds great.  ...
