Good Stereo Speakers for outside use during BBQs, evening pot luck dinners etc
Used to set up my old American Acoustics party speakers outside for parties and just jamming while gardening.  Pretty large back yard for the city.  Not audiophile inside, but I was actually impressed how decent they sounded outside.  No reflectio...
Anyone with tinnitus or hearing loss who is into "high-end" audio?
Yes, very timely post.  A few months ago I noticed my soundstage was drifting to the left.  I messed around with speaker placement and the balance control on my preamp.  This seemed to help a bit.  I soon realized I had a pretty constant high pitc...
What do you think causes the crackle and clicks we hear?

Seriously considering tube preamp…opinions?
Yours is a pretty common story, myself included.  Took the plunge into tubes some years back with a Jolida 502brc integrated and was glad I did.  Love the tube sound.  I was apprehensive at first but nothing to worry about really - piece of cake. ...
Vinyl woes / cartridge upgrade
Thanks all for the replies.  Mike, the AT-VM95SH looks good.  Or, maybe the 95ML for a bit less.  I have been researching the Microline and Shibata types and the shape seems to make sense.  The Gallos still sounding great BTW!The Mapleshade brush ...

Vinyl woes / cartridge upgrade
Lol chakster, easy now.  I don’t  have any plans to get one.  Although I would experiment if the price was right.  ;-)Cartridge, etc. first. Thanks yogi for the link, I’ll check it out.   Think I remember hearing that Grado cartridges are a little ...
