What is the #1 equipment want currently on your HiFi horizon???
A pair of good subs, maybe Rel t9 or similar to go with my LRS.  Or possibly move up the Maggie line to 1.7i?  Also a better DAC than the Joilda I have now.  Damn those Denafrips reviews!  :-)
I had a few drinks and bought some speakers, I've now sobered up
LOL clearthinker!  I've never heard Moabs and would love to, but that was funny

Magnepan LRS- what amp should i consider? (sub $2,000)
Currently using a Hegel H360 with my LRS and it makes them sing very nicely.  High damping factor, 250 wpc into 8 ohms and 420 wpc into 4.  Super smooth character and well balanced.  Over your budget used but try and audition one of their less exp...

Favorite Cowboy Junkies?
I will be checking it all out.  I've heard the Trinity Sessions and while it is sonically fantastic I thought the pace of the album overall a little slow for me.  I will listen again.  Apparently, fuzztone is not a fan?  Some strange peoplecomment...
Rega TT owners - phono suggestions?

Possible cause of harsh mids?
Thanks for the replies, gents.  Certainly only on a few albums so far.  Not sibilance per se, but more of a distortion on peaks in the mid band - guitars, keyboards, etc.  Bass and treble not an issue.  For example, another one that does it is an ...

Maggie LRS so ridiculously good
keegiam, I think it's more important how the amp does with 4 ohm or below loads than how many watts.  I've tried my McCormack dna .5 and Rogue Atlas Magnum 3 tube amp (each 100 watts) with good results.  But, my Hegel H360 is the best combination....
Maggie LRS so ridiculously good
I agree one of the best bang for your buck speakers out there.  I was lucky enough to pick up an almost new pair several months ago.  Everything they say is true - good power/current and get them out into the room.  Right now using a Hegel H360 in...

Chick Corea - Akoustic Band from '89Just picked up today.  Says digital master on the album cover but this thing sounds great.  Had to use the Milty and carbon fibre brush several times but not too crackly.
Tinnitus sufferer: is it the speakers or the 24bits/192kHz
Mocktender, yeah sorry, I guess I didn't really answer your question.  I just find it interesting and important for the community to share tinnitus info of any kind.  Who knows, something might just help someone find a bit of relief one of these d...

+1 erichsch, jerks just can't help themselves.  Thats why they are jerks.Mocktender, you still here?  I find stress levels/elevated blood pressure to cause an increase in symptoms.  Even though you've had the condition for years definitely get you...
