Wilson Audio Owners.....Sophia's
I like tube amps to drive Wilson speakers. They are a little too 'neutral' without the added bloom IMO. The Sophia is a very detailed, open and coherent speaker.
A remarke you made 2Joe zawinuls brown street
allmusic says:Like his friend and onetime collaborator Miles Davis, Joe Zawinul was not one to look back on his past and savor the view. Yet as in the case of Miles (his parting concert in Montreux), Zawinul finally took the plunge in central Euro...
Help. My system is shouting at me
wait at least another month of heavy play until you decide what to do. By then your CD player should be broken in (I am guessing in relative terms to break in times)

Manley Stingray w/ Kef 104/2
agree with jaybo, mine drove Maggie 1.6 with no problem
The most important word of advise?
Listen for yourself and make up your own mind. You will eventually find what matters to you and you can look for the components to fill your dream system. All stereos are a compromise and you have to find what suits you.
Magnepan MMG for fun and enjoyment.
I do not get it, you have two systems? Is there a question about the Trentes/Stingray? Interesting. I used to have Maggie 1.6s hooked up to a Stingray. Surprisingly it drove them well. Very vibrant though limited on dynamic range, the Stingray is ...

best artists in the last 15 years
Ida and His Name Is Alive are two very goods bands which are alternative/folk/rock music (you get the idea)however they have been around several years
I have a question about my speakers
It should do pretty good but you never know, I had a Manley Stingray which has 40 watts and in some ways it sounded more robust than my Rogue M120s which have 120 watts. The Rogue BTW, were not really enough for the 1.6s in my opinion, not really d...
Beatles covers: better than originals?
I also thought David's redition of John Lennon's Imagine was very good. This is not something I would say easily, but his was the only version that I truly enjoyed besides John Lennon's.
Which "Kind of Blue". I'm so confused
I know many of the oldest CDs were recorded in the poorest manner with compression and at 13 bits etc. I would at least try to buy the newer remastered at the correct speed one. I could never hear the speed difference but you have a better chance ...
Best jazz covers of rock songs

Anticables Review
not worth clipping the spades off. do not ruin the cables for a tiny upgrade IMO.
Levinson 383 integrated vs Moon i-7 integrated
have heard the Concentra (not the Concerto) and while it has beautiful tone, unmatched in my experience in SS integrateds, was a little thick in the upper bass and not especially extended or open up top.
