If you have the space...hard to beat the Mags for sound and value...factor in the price of decent stands for monitors...and the Mags are even more attractive...either way...one can achieve exceptional sound...Green Mountain Europa for less than 1k...

I do like the "airy", effortless sound of Joseph Audio products...that being said...Vandie 2s really are the speaker to beat...any chance u could send them in for an upgrade?

Soundstaging and imaging are audiophile fictions.
Your comparing apples and oranges...live music vs. recorded sound...and I would much rather have a speaker that images well AND has spatial qualities over clarity, dynamics, tone,etc...in short..a MUSICAL speaker...and for someone who is moving aw...

Sounds like u are leaning towards a phase correct speaker...again...check out Green Mountain Audio Europas for $800...contact Roy at GMA on the Manufactuer list on this site...a speaker is highly subjective...but I selected these even after hearin...

Also...u might want to contact Soliloquy directly for expertise...they might have a solution...such as plugs as one poster suggested...or maybe some damping ideas from others? Any thoughts people?

Beetle...yes...better speakers is the ticket...and one pair of quality speakers will surpass 2 sets of average ones...I would suggest GReen Mountain Audio Europas for $800...which could easily be obtained by selling your old gear...and then welcom...

Sorry...nothing against the speakers...I was thinking of a different model...anyways...you could always do the sock in the port thing...kinda crude...but effective...also...getting a good deal that doesnt fit your room(as one poster mentioned) nee... 
What slim$1000 speakers will match Bryston B-60 ?
Bryston and Maggies make a great combo...the mg12 is a very underated speaker...about $1100...they also make a direct purchase model...the MMG...which is about half that...with about 90% of the performance of the MG12...still...the Bryston deserve... 
Problem with rear firing bass port
This will only be a problem at higher volumes...in which if needed...you could pull them out a bit...just curious...how much is the offer? I wouldnt pay more than $500 myself
