Speakers & the room Ditto Pubul57's suggestion on getting a consultation from Rives.
Dynaudio C2 with Plinius 9200 Johnno35 - I apologize for getting this thread off track. To summarize, I believe there is merit in many of these threads. I do believe the Plinius 9200 will "work", however, if money is not an issue, and you can afford separates, there are better...
Dynaudio C2 with Plinius 9200 Dkzzzz - You seem to bash everything. Do you like anything other than ATC active speakers... or is everything else garbage in your opinion? Also, you never responded to my question from a few days ago... what does your system consist of (amp, pre,...
Dynaudio C2 with Plinius 9200 Dkzzzz - Please tell us what equipment, speakers and cables your system consists of.
Dynaudio C2 with Plinius 9200 Yes... you will be fine. I've owned the C2's and now the C4's in a room measuring 21' x 15' and partially opened on one end... I've had no problems giving them kick with the Plinius SA-102 amp (125 wpc).
Dynaudio Confidence 5 or Confidence 1 for this room???? Chel13 - probably a good idea to stick with what you have. Treating your room would go a long way to minimizing slap echo, deflection & booming bass. I spent approx. $700 with GIK Acoustics for 8 panels (4" x 2 ft x 4 ft), and it was the best ...
Dynaudio Confidence 5 or Confidence 1 for this room???? I own C4's in a room measuring 21 ft long x 15 ft wide with 7 ft ceilings and partially open at one end. I almost gave up on my C4's until I added room treatments in the form of 8 acoustical panels from GIK Acoustics, to tame the reflections and d...
Symphonic Line RG1 MK4 Vs Plinius SA-102 I can't speak for the Symphonc line, other than to say I've heard good things about their gear... but I can tell you I've been using the SA 102 with both Dyn C2's & C4's with excellent results over the last two years. I also owned the 1.3SE's ...
Do speaker cables really matter? I've found the same holds true for IC's. My recent upgrade to Jade Hybrid IC's was a revelation. They were not cheap, but their addition to my system really took things up a notch. My future upgrades will be either power cords or speaker cables......
Dynaudio or B&W I made the switch from B&W to Dynaudio about 8 years ago and have never looked back. I currently own 3 pairs of Dynaudio speakers ranging from the entry-level Audience line up to the Confidence line. I've had no problems driving my C2's and C4...
dynaudio speakers S 5.4 Conventional wisdom would point you to the Lector amp. I don't think a 24 wpc tube amp would be able to do the woofers on the S5.4's justice. I've always been intrigued to try a tube amp with my Dyn's but am too content with my current solid state...
Dynaudio Confidence C1: looking for speaker cable. Not sure what your budget is, but I can tell you from experience that Dyn's Confidence line does respond favorably to cable upgrades. Currently using Harmonic Tech Pro 9 speaker cables with good results on my C4's and previously with my C2s. Hope ...
Classe CAM-200..need good Pre-Amp Ericjcabrera - While I have not owned Classe, I have been able to audition their amps and preamps on several occasions and found them to be smooth, powerful, non fatiguing and a good overall value. I've owned two entry level pcs from BAT and found...
Classe CAM-200..need good Pre-Amp I'd definitely stick with the Classe amps over the BAT gear you reference. I've owned BAT VK200 amp paired with VK30 preamp & found the two pcs to be over-rated in comparison to other gear in their class. Not sure what your budget is for a pre...
Dyns C4 owners: Question for you ? My room is 21' x 15' with ceiling height varying from 6 to 7 feet. The speakers need to have room to breath and need to be pulled out approx. 4' off the front wall. I use a Plinius SA-102 amp to good effect (125wpc @ 8 ohms in class A). I highly r... |
